## Description

The Tyon features the X-Celerator, a single-axis analog thumb paddle pioneered for modern battlefields. It gives you unrivaled command capabilities without sacrificing control. You can use it to seamlessly tilt left and right, pitch up and down, increase and decrease throttle and much more, all while maintaining perfect mouse control. ROCCAT's breakthrough Easy-Shift[+] technology lets you assign a secondary function to each button on the mouse, for a near endless number of attack possibilities. The secondary function can be activated once the Easy-Shift[+] button is held down. On the Tyon, this is a dedicated button conveniently located beneath the traditional side buttons.

Review: I have found my Fit - I was looking for a mouse that was more of a palm grip and had 4 large easy/large enough to find buttons. This it seams is hard to find. The last few mice have been Razer Hex (claw grip and button placement/feel was hard to tell what button i was hitting or how many at the same time), Logitech G502 Proteus Core (Good mouse, ok button layout, one of the few that have side to side wheel buttons), and the Madcatz MMO7 (Nice button layout, must be built for claw grip every time I used it the front came off the mouse pad like a drag car. I tried all the weights and all the adjustable positions just not a good fit for me). Enter Roccat Tyon. I did not want to pay this much for another mouse that may not fit right but the reviews on different sites cough you tube made me look at it. I mainly MMO the button layout is great. the buttons on the top are easy to get to and to tell the difference between them, I didnt think I would use them but I do and its easy to get used to. the buttons on the side are great no mix ups you know which button you hit. The thumb paddle is awesome, I know its set up for fight sim etc but you can assign it to regular buttons. Put your most used commands on it. There is also a bottom thumb button that is out of the way and easy to get to my Ocrap button. Size its bigger than the Proteus Core and the Razer Hex it is a palm grip. I wear a large glove and fits my had perfect. It has a bunch of settings and lots of light settings. Build quality is good and the weight in the hand is good. It felt like a glove, you know where the buttons are and are not searching or wondering what you hit. Only thing I can knock it for (not really neg tho) is the "fin" above the mouse wheel. Its not a neg I just dont see what I can use it for. I forget its even there and its not in the way, plus you can lock it out if need be. I am sure some can use it. The software had a bit of a learning curve but once you use it and learn the sys its easy. I do not have to search any more. ## Edit I tried to use the top "fin" and now i use it all the time. For MMO i use it to loot and take all. It works very well. Great Mouse
Review: Great device, I wish every mouse had such a variety of inputs - This mouse is great. I have enough buttons to bind swim-up and swim-down to the mouse in Half-Life 1 mods and STILL have buttons left over. Everything is placed in a very convenient location. I have big, lanky hands, and nothing on this mouse is in an inconvenient location for me. The fin-switch on top is as little bit weird and will take a bit of getting used to, but the thumb-axis feels new but VERY natural with its smooth motion and spring-return, and I wish it could find use in more applications. The Roccat software defaults to making the below-thumb button provide an ALT function on everything else, which effectively doubles the number of buttons. That's a ridiculous amount of functionality for a mouse, especially when considering all of the buttons are in different places so it doesn't end up looking like a Razer Naga. Roccat Tyon feels like a HUGE upgrade from my previous mouse, Razer Naga Hex. The button placement is overall better, the build quality feels more solid, the coloration is quite customizable (I like mine yellowish orange) and pretty bright by default (when I first received the mouse and forgot I plugged it in, it scared me once I noticed it). Roccat's software even seems like an upgrade. I think this mouse stores its own button configuration, considering everything works even without the company's software loaded. It's fabulous. There's no weight-customization here, no physical customization to speak of, really-- which might seem like a negative, until you consider that this mouse won't make you feel guilty for throwing out unnecessary parts, because there are none. I don't need to make it longer or wider... it's just designed right to begin with. The closest thing to a con? It's VERY high DPI and can be VERY sensitive if you want it to be. After a month of heavy use, it has "acted up" only once, when its movement seemed to become limited to a weird diagonal motion, with a limited ability to wobble up and down ... figured it out yet? The culprit was a little STRAY HAIR stuck under the laser sensor!!! Once I removed the hair, I went from worrying about my purchase to loving this mouse way, way more.

- Unrivaled command power
- The new dedicated Easy-Shift[ plus] button frees up the traditional side buttons

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is this the same size as the Kone Pure?**
A: I don't have the TYON nor the KONE PURE. But...KONE PUREMax. width 7cm x approx. 12cm max. lengthApprox. 90g (excl. cable)TYONMax. length 13.5cm x approx. 7.8cm max. width. 4cm high.Approx. 126g (excl. cable) Google is your friend.

**Q: Can we change the colours of the lights to any colour we want???**
A: For the most part, yes. The only color I haven't found out how to change so far, is the color it switches to when pressing the "easy-shift" modifier. Seems it turns light blue while holding the button down, and then changes back to your custom color scheme when you release it.

**Q: Where is this mouse manufactured? (Made In...?)**
A: china

**Q: Is it possible to change the color of the lights when the easy shift button is held? For all of my profiles, it defaults to blue.**
A: I have tried to also but it has been only blue for me!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great mouse. Terrible drivers.
*by R***Y on January 18, 2018*

Great mouse. Superb build quality and functionality. Drivers need some serious work. I love everything about this mouse other than the drivers. On Windows 10 I'm experiencing some problems. After updating the drivers and downloading Roaccat's software, I was still unable to control the lights on the mouse. They were stuck cycling through all the colors, which wasn't a huge deal, it looked kind of cool, but I don't want that all the time. After reading around online I found a workaround that seems to do the trick. Pretty much just set all of the Roccat software to run as Administrator. This has allowed me to control the lights through the app, but it is still slow to update when I change settings. However, I bought this mouse for gaming, not to look at it. So that's really only a minor issue that seems to be pretty easily solved. For gaming, this thing feels great. It had plenty of extra buttons but none of them are in the way or obtrusive. It feels like a normal 2 button mouse unless you want to use the other features.
