The Obey 6 is NOT Smooth - I have an Obey 70 and have been happy with it so I picked up the Obey 6 for small lighting projects that just need some fades and general lighting. First issue was the White and Amber channels are swapped between the Obey 6 and my ProLight LEDJ60s, You cannot reassign the sliders/channels like you can on the Obey 70 so the labeling ends up incorrect and it makes many of the presets look weird. Not a show stopper but a bit annoying. Major issue was the fades. No matter what I did, I could not get a smooth fade. All the fades were jumpy, hopping from one color to the next very quick and the general fades seemed to step down in brightness instead of actually fading. My thinking is the resolution on the Obey 6 is not very good, making the fades jumpy. My only complaint is that occasionally it will go into strobe mode without hitting the strobe and the only way to turn it off is to shut it down and unplug it, plug it back in and turn everything on again. Otherwise, I like it for the most part, but I'd like to see more stand alone patterns utilizing more colors.
