Olay Fresh Effects Clear Skin Spot Zinger 2-in-1 Salicylic Acid Citrus/Mint Acne Spot Treatment, 0.5 Fl Oz

I've had acne for 20 years (lucky me) and have tried JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING (neutrogena, oxy, clean and clear, ren, proactiv, aveda, dan's acne wash, etc). I have to say I'm pretty shocked at how well this stuff works. After using for about 4-5 days straight, my large cystic acne vanished. I hardly get any cystic acne at all anymore since using this product. Also, because it is a bit drying, I now use it every other day to keep the acne at bay and it is doing the trick. I apply a thin layer of this all over my face though to prevent my acne, so the fact that it's a "spot" treatment and only comes in this packaging is annoying. I go through it fast and hate the dispenser. I'd give it 5 stars if they would package it like they do their mattifier for people who have to use it all over or they get cystic acne like me.

Not sure whether it really did much for my hormonal acne, but it smelled good, went on clear, and didn't sting over time or make my acne worse.

If you are looking for something lighter on your skin and doesn't leave a film. I don't have acne issues but I have an oily T zone. So I mainly put it on in that area (forehead & nose = T Zone) to prevent breakouts. This is more of a preventative, or use it as a calming lotion at the onset of a breakout. The fragrance is unnecessary but what do I know about marketing these type of skin scare products? : ) Oil of Olay should really make an unscented version IMO. Or they should make the tube a grey color and market the unscented version to men's skin care line. Again, I don't sit on the product marketing board...wish I did.

i had to change my review because he product only worked or seemed to work within the first few applications. I am almost finished with the tube and the pimples don't go away, only seem to get better then they get worse again.

It works! I suffer from adult acne once in a while and this is my emergency cream when I do get pimples! I don't think I will use another product unless it blows me away with the same ingredients. Oh by the way this is my 2 order.

Unlike oth​er salicylic acid spot treatment that I have tried this Olay Fresh Effect Clear Skin Spot Zinger has a fairly nice smell to it for a reasonable price. I occasionally have breakouts and I noticed that the spot zinger takes a while to eliminate pimples well at least for me. It does reduce redness and blemishes. I also use Olay Fresh Effects Clear Skin Swirled Redness and Pore Reducing citrus/ Mint Mattifier to control the redness on my face. For the most part, I think it depends on the severity of the blemish, Overall I have had some success with this product, overall I have had success with this product it has a wonderful smell, effective at reducing inflammation, and does not dry out my skin. I will continue to use the spot zinger and recommend others to give it a try.

It leaves a tingly sensation when applying, but other than that I don't notice a difference

This product is great. For some reason, it has been increasingly difficult to find a Salicylic Acid spot treatment that is in a cream/lotion formula, the few Salicylic Acid products that are out there are almost all gels. I tried Neutrogena Naturals Acne Spot Treatment before, but do not like that one at all. I had resorted to Philosophy Clear Days Ahead, which is a great treatment as well, but it costs about 3 times as much as this product and is consistently out of stock. The smell of this product is amazing, it reminds me of a mojito! This product claims to "blur" blemishes, which I did not really notice, but I didn't expect it to anyway. If you want to hide a blemish, put concealer on it! Overall I recommend Olay Fresh Effect Clear Skin Spot Zinger will continue to use this product over other options.
