RIEDEL Microfiber Polishing Cloth

This cloth does what it supposed to do. It dries and polishes glasses. However, when I bought this I also bought the Wine Chic two pack of cloths. It is the same cloth and you get two for the price of one Reidel. I am not saying it looks like the Reidel I am saying it IS the same cloth but without the logo. Now I have three and will be happily polishing for years to come.

I use this with my own Reidel Bordeaux and Vintage Champagne glasses as well as for my Glencairn whisky and specialty añejo tequila glasses.This cloth is a great investment if you care about great glassware for great things to drink!

Have used these for years on all of my very expensive stemware. I don’t know why Riedel only makes these in white as stains are common and if you polish a lot of glassware, they start to look crummy. But, they wash easy and are exceptional for streak free perfect polishing. One cloth will last quite a few years with even the heaviest of use. I can polish about 8 freshly rinsed large wine glasses, before the material gets too wet to do its drying job. I always have several of these on hand.

I use this cloth for polishing my Spiegelau wine glasses, and it works perfectly. After I got my first set of nice wine glasses, I realized that I just air drying my wine glasses would leave water marks all over the glass. So I went on Amazon to look for a good drying cloth. Riedel is a name brand, and the price was definitely reasonable, so I went with this cloth. The size is big enough that you can cover both of your hands with the cloth, so you won't leave fingerprints on freshly polished glass, and the cloth is durable and doesn't scratch the glass. I've been using this cloth for almost a year now, and I still haven't felt the need to wash it.My usual routine is to handwash my glasses, and as I finish washing one glass, I'll place it upside down on a paper towel. Then once I'm done with the glasses (sometimes 10 glasses at a time), I'll start drying from the first glass I washed. By this time, the glass isn't soaking wet, so my cloth doesn't get soaking wet, but there's still enough moisture left on the glass so that you can polish and wipe down the glass. To get the inside of the bowls, I usually bunch up the cloth and shove it into the bowl. Then I just rotate the glass while holding onto the cloth, which forces the cloth to wipe up against the inside of the bowl. Watch out, though. Spiegelau glasses are pretty durable, but you might break a stem off of a Riedel if you do what I do and turn the glass by the stem while holding onto the cloth inside. My glasses always end up clear and clean.If you want a durable, reliable cloth to clean your glasses, go with this one.

I only use these cloths to dry and polish my good wine glasses. Have had less issues with streaking and spotting sever since

In our household, wine is a part of our evening meal most nights of the year. We have a wide array of stemware and decanters. We cannot air dry our glasses as our domestic well water is heavily laden with minerals. For years, I have purchased Irish linen glasscloths, at considerable expense, and use them solely for drying glassware. The linen option is somewhat high maintenance, requiring careful washing and a steam iron after drying, or you end up with a wrinkly wadded up mess of a drying cloth. Even at that, nothing is ever truly lint or streak free.I bought a couple of these Riedel microfiber crystal cloths, despite being somewhat skeptical of the 'miracle microfiber' gimmick. I'm an instant convert. These cloths work, although how they do it I could not begin to tell you. Straight out of the package, they are lightweight, thin, silky material that does not seem nearly suited to the task. Nevertheless, rinse your Sommeliers (or other glassware) and give them a quick wipe with one of these Riedel cloths and be amazed -- glassware is dry, shiny, lint and streak free. That simple.The towels are a generous size and more than adequate for drying a number of your big Sommelier Burgundy grand cru stems and a good sized decanter. The towels themselves also dry very quickly. Just a few minutes in a cool dryer and your towel will be ready for another round.Well worth the tariff.

Cleans glasses and stainless really well. I didn't not have the problem with the red ink bleeding like others when I cleaned it upon arrival. I tossed it in boiling water, let it dry, and it came out fine. My only complaint is that the material has a fair amount of friction and it does not "glide" along the glass. I use this cloth in one hand, and in the other hand I use a nice microfiber cloth. I hold and maneuver the glass with this cloth while keeping the microfiber cloth still. This does the initial drying on the microfiber. Once it is mostly dry I then use this cloth alone to do a final polish. Everything comes out looking nice.

I’ve tried other products and none compare. Well worth the money for spotless wine glasses.
