## Questions & Answers

**Q: if you wore these all the time would they eventually turn green?**
A: No, they won't turn green. Even if the plating wore all the way off, which is highly unlikely, .925 sterling silver is what is underneath, not brass or any kind of "mystery metal" that is used for those "flea market" variety earrings which might normally be responsible for such reactions. Unless, you have experienced issues in the past with sterling silver earrings, that is. In which case, I would recommend you go by your own history with such things to guide you.

Earrings rarely have their plating wear away, not like rings do, because all that's normally done with earrings is to put them in and remove them again. Not too much usually happens in between. With rings, it's usually totally different, as they are subjected to considerably more wear-and-tear than other pieces of jewelry, and any plated finish will wear away much more quickly on rings, than whatever is on earrings.

So, unless you juggle with them daily, or otherwise subject them to far more wear than other people do while wearing them, it's highly unlikely that either the plating will wear off, or the sterling silver underneath, or your earlobes will "turn colors.

**Q: are they Nickle free**
A: Yes, they are nickel free. Neither the platinum plating (or rhodium plating, both of which come from the platinum metal group), or the sterling silver, which is traditionally 92.5% pure silver, and 7.5% copper, have any nickel in them.

Even the silver, when it is combined with more contemporary metals, such as Germanium (used to make a newer alloy, called Argentium Silver) still don't have nickel in them.

And producers of white gold, if that has ever been an issue for you, have stopped using nickel in such high quantities as they used to. Many white gold "blends" now use other metals in the mix, and a couple are so white they don't require rhodium plating. It depends mostly on how expensive they want to get with their product, as metal such as Palladium can be used with pure yellow gold to create white gold that does not need rhodium plating, (and doesn't need nickel either.)

But, even though that particular alloy can be more expensive up front, it also is much less expensive to maintain down the road, as in about $0, since you never have to have it "re-dipped" in the future. Something to consider if that has caused you issues in the past.

Also, European jewelry metal standards for the white metals have blocked the use of nickel as an alloy, due to its propensity for causing allergic reactions. Something else to consider perhaps, for future reference.😉

**Q: what are the dimensions**
A: Approximately 1/4" x 1/4". Sounds small but really aren't. It's a good size for me. Beautiful earrings, stunning cut and very sparkly. I love them! I bought the necklace, bracelet and 3 stone ring also in the assher cut, to match the earrings. Gorgeous set!!

**Q: Can I take shower and sleep with them ?**
A: I do! You probably won’t like to sleep in them though. The earring posts are longer than other earrings so they tend to poke behind your ears when you lay on one side.
