Z GRILLS ZPG-7002B Wood Pellet Grill Smoker 2021 Upgrade for Outdoor Cooking with Cover

This is a beautiful grill. Well packaged. Easy to assemble. We are super excited to smoke some meat all summer long and try out being able to grill on it as well.ISSUES:Missing one washerDent on main chamber opening edgeDent on lid to chamberAs you can see from the images. Being it was packaged well and saw no damage to the packaging, I'm assuming the damage was done at the warehouse. We are pretty disappointed since this damage will probably affect the cooking process since the gap created by the damage will not only cause more smoke to escape but allow air into the chamber, possibly affecting the temperature. The washer being missing is no big deal as we can probably find another lying around the house. But much rather it be black and the same as material and paint type as the others.If Z Grills could suggest how to fix the dent on the edge of the opening of the main chamber, I would attempt. As for the lid, a replacement for that would be greatly appreciated!Thank you and look forward to updating this review in the near future with positive information!UPDATE: We have not heard anything from Z Grill about the issues. I do need to say I found the washer, it fell out and I happened to find it. We are not very happy about the dents. We have cooked on it and so far so good! The ribs were delicious. Tonight we are smoking a pork butt on the smoker setting, for nearly 12 hours. We hope this grill lasts us a long time and continues to work. Haven't tried cleaning it yet.

DO NOT BUY.. gave for Christmas present. Atopped working end of January. Seller nor Amazon will help me. Wasted several hundred dollars on a piece of junk. Zgrill has lied several times and still have a grill that won’t work..February 28,2021! Good luck if you purchase!

Easy to use & the temps are stable. I've been using a Komodo grill for the past 5+ years and after a lot of research I decided to add this pellet smoker into the mix. The pellet smoker is definitely easier, quicker to get to temperature and doesn't require me to monitor the temperature as the grill is heating up. I do notice that I get a much stronger smoky flavor when cooking with my Komodo grill versus the pellet smoker. Mesquite is a strong flavored wood and I found that using mesquite pellets allows me to achieve the flavor that I'm looking for. Clean up is easy. I cover my drip pan with aluminum foil and vacuum out the firebox every two to three uses. I've been very happy with the cooking space and stability of the temperature for long cooks. So far I have grilled and smoked reverse seared tomahawk steaks, several pork butts, burgers, turkey legs, chicken wings, smoked queso, brisket, oxtails and lots of ribs. It is such an easy smoker to use and I really enjoy cooking with it.I should also mention that I found a lot of reviews with people receiving their z grill damaged and using mallets to bang out the dings. The vendor whom I purchased it through shipped it out promptly and I received it with not a single scratch.

Auger did not turn. 48 hour call back for customer service how is that a help? No I’m stuck with no smoker and meat ready to go. What a bummer.

Overall I am pleased, had some minor damage and paint chipping upon unboxing. The oil pan was bent and there is some surface rust in the barrel where some paint is missing. A few chips in the coating on the main grill. For the value tho im not too worried about it! I owned a higher end pellet smoker that went out after 5yrs of use and I find alot better qualities in this Z grill and its a far better value. I am Satisfied with my purchase! To be fair this is a really heavy bulky item and I've nevered received a heavy item in the mail that didn't have a few bruises! The Packaging is so high quality to im suprised it had chipping and dents! Would buy again.

Amazon distribution works well but customer support call unsatisfactory. Multiplexing too many activities I inadvertently threw away a grate in packing. Support agent on iffy cell phone connection tried to help and did generate PayPal request which I authorized but after one month no replacement grate.

Having lots of fun smoking a bunch of meats, as well as grilling. The only hitch is that the thermal probe sometimes starts reporting rising temps on a slow cook - but we open FTD cover and tsp the probe and it reads fine. Not ideal. But workable until we can call for a replacement.

Extremely well built! Retired my old Brinkman smoker and this is so much better. The wireless thermometer makes it easy to get anything cooked just right.
