Depending on how you actually wrap the legs, etc., you will want to overlap the velcro on itself a good bit to ensure the the hook & loop connection stays put. **Q: Does this have tape on the non-velcro side so I can attach it to surfaces?** A: No. There is "hook" on one side and "loop" on the other. You should get Velcro with industrial strength adhesive if you want the Velcro to be sticky on one side. You may want to visit a Home Depot or Lowes to see the options and then come back to Amazon to get the better price. The adhesive Velcro has limitations. I tried to used the sticky Velcro on cloth and it did not hold up. You may have to get Velcro without the sticky side and use epoxy to attach the Velcro permanently. **Q: Does this have a "buckle" at the end to enable you to cinch it tight?** A: Its velcro so it sticks to itself, a buckle would not function at all if it were on this product.
