Does its job
I have been very happy with the actual performance of the watch, it tracks my runs perfectly no doubt about it. However if you plan to wear this watch around town as an everyday watch I would not recommend it for that at all. Some of the issues I found is that the buttons can be pressed way to easily, literally setting the watch down on its side can activate a button. Also the biggest complaint I have is that tapping literally 3 out of the 6 buttons on the watch will activate the GPS. This will drain the battery very quick if you are not careful, for this reason I only wear the watch running and keep it in a safe place when not using it. Mine had a small issue connecting with Strava (which was the sole reason I purchased the watch) but I eventually problem solved and fixed it myself (Strava has the worst customer service of all time.) Soleus on the other hand has decent customer service. The display when running is pretty hard to make heads and tails of and if you like to check your progress while running I wouldn't recommend this watch either. However I just start it, take off, and stop it when I'm done...then save it and pull up all the data on my computer (and if you just want to do those steps this watch works perfect for the price.) Lastly some people complained about how long it takes to connect with GPS, I would say yes it does take a very long time if you are moving. So what I do is leave the watch in a safe place while I do a little warm up, and by the time I'm done with that the watch is always ready to go.Bottom Line: I would recommend this watch only for running, and if you don't really want to check too many stats while running.

Highly recommended
I'm not much of a runner so when I was challenged by some colleagues at work to do a big relay event where I'd have to run 4.5 miles I knew I had to find some way to motivate myself to put sufficient training miles in prior to the event. This Soleus GPS watch was the perfect solution. It took me a couple of runs to get down the start-stop routine (which is actually easy and more of a reflection of my groggy state at 5.15 a.m. when I normally train) but I found it a huge help in keeping me motivated. I downloaded the Soleus Sync 2 software and used this to sync to my Strava account after each run without any problems. Doing this was a great way to track my progress. I initially chose this Soleus model because the other big brand GPS watches were more pricey and more complex to use because of the larger number of features which I didn't need or want. Three months after the event I'm still using it on my now-less-frequent runs.During a run, I find the display not that easy to read because of the size of the numerals. Fine when stationary or walking but not when jogging. I believe Soleus has other models with a bolder display. Battery life between charges has been very good and I've been able to get lots of half-hour runs out of a single charge. It helps if you turn off the GPS as soon as your run is complete as the unit will keep searching for satellites and that shortens the battery life.Overall, this is a simple and cost-effective way to use GPS as a training tool.

Works fine. So far good deal for the price.
Got it today, put it on to charge while I read the instructions. Charged no problem. Took me a bit even with the instructions to set it up and figure it out. Then used it for a short 2.5 mile trail run. It works great so far. It seemed accurate. Checked it @ the 1 mile mark and it was on, 2 mile still on. 2.5 on mark. Only 4 stars as it is a bit large, but I guess most GPS watches are, I don't normally wear things on my arms so it will take getting used to. It took it about 5 minutes initially to lock on satellites, but I set it up twice after running and it locked on in just a few seconds.Update October 2017: Still using this watch. No issues. I have accidentally pushed a button while running once and it stopped tracking. Still charges fine, holds charge well, works great.

Great GPS watch on the cheap
I've used this for about a month now and here are a couple thoughts. This is a great GPS watch, the one I received came with a charging cable that also syncs runs with your computer. The build quality is good. As for size, it's bigger than a regular watch, but not extraordinarily large as some GPS watches are.The large negative of this watch is that it takes several minutes to acquire GPS satellites before your run. If you begin running you may not ever lock onto satellites. Also, button placement makes it easy to accidentally turn on the GPS function.I recommend this product it does what it says and more at a very reasonable price.

Pretty Spartan for a gps watch
Solid purchase. Pretty Spartan for a gps watch, but for me it works well. Connects quickly, and while I've never had it disconnect in me I have had it tell me I had gone a lot farther and faster than I actually did though, but only once or twice. Soleus sync works well for uploading to Strava too. You just have to use the usb cable that comes with the watch. Some reviews said the watch couldn't connect to a computer but that is false, the usb cable is included and you can upload all your activities to Strava.

Great running watch!
This watch is great...does everything it says it does. I use this for setting my pace for my 2 miles for my PT test with the national guard. Battery life is pretty long when your not using the GPS. It seems extremely accurate with it's location, time, speed and everything. The one and only downside is when you turn the GPS on it always seem to take quite a few minutes for it to connect, other than that it is amazing, definitely recommend for its price!

How do you work this thing?
The watch itself is fine, although it does sometimes take a little to long setting the gps. My only real problem was that the instructions that came with the watch were useless and I had to go to You Tube just to do the basic settings. Even the Soleus site was no help, and since this gps watch seems to be a first timers watch, I think the instruction need to be upgraded.
