This wall thimble is exactly what I needed without spending a ton of money.F.Y.I: the inside diameter of the center hole is the EXACT outer dimension of standard 8" Black stovepipe.

I bought this THROUGH THE WALL thimble for a Through the roof isolator in my home. I already have a metal and cement board ( 3/4 inch) surrounding the attic area the pipe goes through so this is the ceiling to attic connector.These sellers REFUSE to put the proper definitions on their ads, I really would like to know the dimensions without going to 30 sites to find the products PDF for getting the info on it it will fit 6" ( 8" outside pipe diameter ) of the Selkirk metalbestos 6 UT pipe.Are these sellers SO DAM'N STUPID they don't comprehend that the ads say NOTHING about the dimensions and uses of the pipe parts? It leads people to spend HOURS googling and Binging to find the data on the product..... Seeing all the other NON AMAZON offers out there!

This is a great unit that allows an additional 2 inches of air space around the double wall metalbestos 6 inch pipe. Beware that the minimum width between the inside wall and the outside wall must be 6 inches. Mine was 4 1/2 inches. I had to trim the sleeve with an angle grinder to make it fit.

Good quality thimble for piping through the wall. Hole is 8 inches in diameter for use with 6 inch double wall pipe. The inside piece was round, not square as shown. Comes with 4 black screws for the inside. Have to get your own nails or screws to secure the outside piece.Update - you will need something like 2 DuraVent 46DVA-SC 6-5/8" Inner Diameter storm collars to mount a 6 inch pipe in the 8 inch diameter opening of the wall thimble.
