U.S. Divers Youth Flare Junior Silicone Snorkeling Set

I bought this set for my son as we were heading to Mexico and i thought it would be fun to snorkel.They arrived and i noticed that we received the 9-13 size though i ordered 2017 Small 1-3.I planned to return them but didn't have time.Regardless we took them and the fins fitted fine, they were at their tightest so that means there is room to grow.The mask fit well though it did fog a little bit, not too big an issue and the "dry" snorkel worked pretty well.The carry bag was really helpful and they were light and easy to pack in our bags.All things considered its a great buy and we got the right size even if it wasn't what we ordered.Not sure if that will help in choosing your size.Best of luck with it

This is an excellent snorkel set. I purchased it for my 6-year-old twin girls; both have different-shaped faces, but they both did well with no leakage issues from the mask. It was a good, secure fit, and worked both in the swimming pool and in the ocean (not sure why it wouldn't but at least one other reviewer commented that it worked in the pool and not in the ocean? This doesn't quite make sense to me...)The snorkel was likewise high quality, and the fins were also great. The small size fit my kids feet (kids size 11 and 12, respectively) with room to grow. We got minimal water into the snorkel, given the "dry top" and the kids have absolutely loved snorkeling.Finally, the bag is also high quality.

I'm pretty happy with this purchase. The mask doens't leak and fits my 5 year old son's face perfectly. The fins also fit his feet nicely on the smallest setting so as long as he takes care of them I think he'll have a few years of use out of them. Overall its typical US Divers quality gear. The one big thing I'd change is the snorkel. My son had been using an adult snorkel before with a bobber type top that prevented any water from getting into the snorkel. This snorkel is a different style snorkel and he ends up with water in his mouth if he goes under at an angle. Since this is a 'youth' snorkeling set, I really with they had the bobber style snorkel on these as it helps prevent water from going into the snorkel better. Another thing about the snorkel is the bottom water escape doesn't really work well. Again, my son is used to an adult snorkel and that one will completely clear the snorkel when he blows out. The bottom exit flap for this snorkel just doesn't seem to work. My son blows and no water comes out of it. This maybe isn't too big a deal for older kids but its not ideal for a 5 year old. That all being said, I still like this set and if the snorkel was better I'd give it a 4 stars.

Its so great when everything fits and works right out of the box and my son is so happy with it. He loves the colors, there were good instructions and it's so adorable when he slings the bag over his shoulder and heads off to the pool. Everything fits back in the carry bag easily, there even room for some water shoes. Smart design on the bag, mesh lets it dry. The snorkel is very smart about not letting water in, the flippers snap on, the mask works well, it's a winner. For reference, he wears a size 1 sneaker and this just fits him. I think when his foot gets to size 2 we'll be too large but we will see.

I bought two of these for boys, and they promptly wore them all the time at the beach. The adjustment straps for the fins and mask are extremely well done and the least hassle I've had yet with adjusting straps for boys. The purge value is a nice feature, along with Pivot Dry technology, which allowed them to get water out of the snorkel when a big wave would come by. The colored carrying cases with a little strap on them had the boys carrying them around like precious cargo. I have two minor complaints though. The first is those big waves. My boys like to look far more up than you should while snorkeling, but they're boys and they do that. This positions the snorkel very close to the water, even when I clipped as far forward as I could on the mask strap, allowing water to get in. It would be nice to be able to position the snorkel further forward, or have a point on the mask portion itself to clip to. The other complaint is colors. I need more. 4 just isn't enough. A green and/or red at least would be nice. Otherwise, this is the perfect snorkel set for kids.

My 10 year old daughter just used this set in Belize. The snorkle guide said the mask and fins are as good as what the professional grade they use and the snorkle was better. My daughter and I snorkled all day..multiple days and she had no problem with the mask leaking or the fins and snorkle...while a few others, who rented eqipment, had mask and snorkle issues. I am very happy we bought this for our trip.

I bought this set for my 5 yr old nephew and he LOVES it! He is small for his age but the mask/snorkel set fits perfectly. The fins are a little big for him, but I think they will work with some booties or heavy socks until his feet grow a bit more. There is still lots of room to adjust them once he does too! Additionally, I am extremely impressed with how well this product is made.

My son liked this snorkel set and it worked fine on our trip to Hawaii until the piece that connected the mouth breathing tube to the goggles broke and since it’s plastic, we couldn’t fix it. Now he can use it. Hoping to get a replacement part for that or to return it since we can’t use it now.
