**Q: Does is need a pre-amp - where does it get its power from?**
A: The unit is self contained for power.   The receiver has a built in rechargeable battery (li-ion with a usb charging cord) and the hand held unit needs two AA batteries.    It does not need power from anywhere else.   Make sure your receiver is fully charged before using session using a standard usb charger, then ensure you have AA batteries on hand in case the ones you have run down.

**Q: Can you use this with a Yamaha keyboard plugged into the aux port?**
A: Hello, the microphone needs to be connected to the MIC INPUT of device.

**Q: Hi, can this microphone be used on android phones to sing karaoke using app like smule where we hear the music and sing along for recording? thank you**
A: No. If you have to plug it into a phone, the plug is too big to fit the phone.  Works with an amp.

**Q: Does this work with any karaoke machine? i have an old rsq**
