Fresh Finds Soul Food Seasoning, 7 oz (Pack of 2)

There is something so special about this spice blend, I have been using it for decades. It's saltier than I would like but I yearn for the spice. I was so pleased Amazon started carrying it since it's a Big Lots house blend, and because it is a delivery, I was happy to pay the price then drive across town for it. It's got a warm taste to it, something that is familiar but not creole; it's like the spices are all so balanced. I cannot live without this. I put it in breads, beans, on steamed vegetables, fresh tomatoes, in split pea soup--that is the best in the soup and also northern bean soup. It's a gift in a shaker. My friends use it on meats but I went plant based years ago. I remember using it on fall apart ribs and pulled pork, it's just perfect!

My husband is a great retired chef who worked at one of the largest hotels in Las Vegas. He still loves cooking at home and likes to get great seasonings. We probably have enough different seasonings for any dish at our home.We were unable to find this readily in our stores here in Las Vegas. We originally found it in our hometown in Louisiana and bring back bottles of it when we visit relatives. So it was great to find it online and now we just buy it and keep it in stock; we've also shared with our family members.

Best if not used heavily; can be very salty.

We had to sift the broken plastic from the seasoning because both bottles came broken at the end.
