Does NOT fit 2012 Highlander with JBL sound/navigation system
Discovered that I'd bought wrong harness. For 2012 Toyota Highlander with factory navigation system and JBL sound you need the one with brown connector (and note that you need to disconnect the other end of the cable from box it connects into behind the climate control switches).Doesn't seem fair to rate this product down since mistake was mine. On the other hand, it would be helpful if there was a close-up of the connector, so that you could see exactly what you're buying!

Good
Works fine in my 2011 Corolla. Allows USB playback and charging in the original port when connected to my aftermarket radio. Took a star off because my vehicle year wasn't listed as compatible but I figured it should work and had to take the chance.

Perfect
I upgraded my wife's radio head unit in her 2015 Honda CRV with a Pioneer. I wanted to keep the factory usb and hdme ports. Unfortunately no one sells conversion cables that specifically address this task. While doing lots of searching I found a post that said this cable, while listed for Toyotas, works for this year CRV and probably others. This fit perfectly on one usb. It just snapped right on. The other I had to cut a small piece of plastic off the factory harness plug. When I did that it to snapped right on. The hdmi cable conversion cable I used is the Axxess AX-HON-HD1 HDMI Retention Harness for 2014-2015 Honda Civic Vehicles.

Android Auto did not like the adapter and I had to end up running a USB cable straight to the back of the stereo.

Works on 2013 Highlander
Installed on my 2013 Highlander with navigation. This fits between the aftermarket head unit's USB port and the OEM USB cable. It does NOT plug into the back of the OEM USB port. Charges the phone, and it works with Apple CarPlay.*Make sure you plug it into the iPod/iPhone USB plug, rather than the plain USB plug, if applicable.

Doesn't allow USB data access
Can be used only for power supply, no USB data functions supported. This information should be included in the listing.
