Worked Great for me!
I found nice hiking rain gear at my local thrift store. Was in great shape but did not know how old they were. So I soaked them in the Grangers waterproofing. It rained this week so tested my old/new rain gear. I did not see any change in color of the material but the rain rolled right off. Very satisfied. Just to make sure, I also added my puffy coat, backpack cover, and my waterproof bags to the same batch. I used a 3'x2'x2' tote container and followed the instructions. I used plastic covered weights to weigh material down under water for 24 hrs. Then let drip dry in the shower. Then place in the dryer low heat for 30 min. One thing though, after the water gets cold in the container, the waterproofing will clump together. I just sloshed the water around before taking the clothing out. Squeezed out the excess water and let drip dry. If the water could be heated again, maybe the same batch could be used again.

Simple, Easy and Incredibly effective!
I bought this product for the simplicity of washing and helping to enhance DWR on my jackets. Other products I've tried have different products to wash, then to enhance DWR leading to 2 or 3 purchases. This product accomplished that quite well in one bottle. I used it once on an old Primaloft puffer style jacket and vest which are my go to. WOW. Not only did it wash them well but this product resorted the loft in both. They're now literally as lofty as when they were new. Prior to the wash they were fairly well compacted and not quite as effective as they once were. This product worked absolute wonders on them! For that reason alone it's worth the price.I have used other types of sports wash and one of them did well but the results I saw after one wash of Grangers were exceptional. This is now my go to product for DWR and any time restoring loft is important. Can't say enough good things about the product. Highly recommended.

Works but not like new
This improved the water repellant of an old raincoat and pants, but it did not restore it to like new and I still got wet.

Works as advertised!
I washed 6 hiking quilts and 2 sleeping bags following the instructions. All the bags and quilts had lost much of their loft. After washing and then air drying all the loft came back and the fabrics were not only cleaned like new but everything was coated with waterproofing . It even cleaned and waterproofed my gortex 30yo military jacket. Also there's no chemical or fragrance smell at all. Follow the directions and all will be well!

Kind of works
There seemed to be some improvement in the water beading on the jacket after treatment, but it didn't last very long. The water no longer beads on the jacket.

Taking care of older Gortex.
Seems to work fine. Defiantly brought back the water repellent .

Excellent for Tent
Waterproofed the shell of a cheap tee-pee tent. If you're doing something large and floppy like a tent it'll act like a bowl. Learn from my mistake and be careful not to dump a bunch of water on the floor or into your dryer. It's been fantastic through several trips of driving rain over the last few years, and still holding up well. Doesn't prevent capillary action, but that's going to happen with anything woven or otherwise breathable. Just follow the standard good practice and don't put stuff against your tent walls or lean against something wet.
