The titles themselves makes these books worth reading (especially in a public place). But the author has done something more. He has taken a complicated and sometimes frustratingly difficult topic in the area of mental health and formed it into small, easily digestible pieces that are coated with a light glaze of humor. This book isn’t a textbook. The tone is friendly, even as the author makes jokes at his own expense. The flow of words and information is easy to enter and exit at anytime. You don’t need to “study” this book. Read it in the car, on the bus, or even in the bathroom. When you set the book down, you’ll know that it will be easy to pick up again later, and you won’t need to back up and refresh before continuing on. Well worth the read!

Seems like the company delivers this book by a pelican. My fault for not sting close attention to the time I’d receive the package. When it arrived, the box was mummified in yellow tape, thereafter in plastic wrapping. The sender made totally sure it was protected! The book is used but looks new. I would recommend buying books from this merchantLike many of my unfinished books, I’ve read the first few pages. It’s funny. I imagine it would be a good read and a good book for my collection. Five stars

Without a shadow of a doubt, this book woke me up to my own sense of entitlement, my own narcissistic traits (of which I never knew I had before, but am happy to finally know I have them so I can work on them), and my perfectionism. Mark Manson wrote absolute life-saving gold here.After trying to take accountability for my own misery and trauma responses through self help, I spent years reading books telling me how justified I feel in my own anger, sadness, resentment, and depression - all while trying to be positive and forgiving all the time. I eventually became toxic in my positivity in doing that, carrying a sense of self importance that got me nowhere in life. I was stuck in neutral trying to figure it all out.This book takes an amazing approach. It helps you look at not only how to heal from things we care too much about about in life, but it explores WHY you should heal and carry on in life without remaining so self absorbed with your own entitlement and fears.I am officially retiring from reading self help books after this one. The book has enough wisdom to help get me back out there and try and fail, try and fail, and do it all again. Life is too short for perfection. Even after a not-so-easy life in some ways, the unjustified entitlement I've felt to keep my identity in a perfect ego bubble was the biggest tragedy of my life. I need to give myself permission to try, fail, and experience more in life without being obsessed with being perceived in a good light all the time. Knowing this, it felt like a huge weight has been lifted.Complete life changer. Thank you, Mark Manson!

This book has helped me so much..It has taught me about useless worries that have haunted me most my life… I find it to be so beneficial to my life now.. I will have to apply this information to my overactive brain on a daily basis, but I now understand how to do it. Thank you Mark Manson! This book has helped me more than I can say!!

The books arrived quickly but some of the pages were not fully cut and a little wonky. Still readable, just a little disappointed it’s not in pristine condition for being in new packaging.
