Review: nice looking pen, writes smoothly - I got the teal color ballpoint version, which is capless and works by a twist to propel and repel the ballpoint. I didn’t want to deal with a cap. I received it 2 days ago. The pen doesn’t look like a cheap plastic throwaway. It is well made, and constructed out of resin and chrome. The teal color has a cheerful, nice cool glow to it and the chrome compliments the color. It has a nice weight to it and very smooth, comfortable feel in my hand. The ink runs smooth. It is pleasant to write with it. For me, it is a happy color and looks like a pen from 1950’s - early 1960’s. It also reminds me of the style of my Kitchenaid mixer, which I love. I think this pen will be durable for me. (I have a lot of pens to suit my mood, ink preference or writing purpose.) I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on pens, because, in the past, my pens have been lost, left behind or taken. I liked it so much that I just bought the coral in the ballpoint version, since it had a sale price on it.

**Q: How do you change refill the ink cartridge for the ballpoints on the light edition**
A: Gently pull off the top and the refill unscrews from the barrel of the pen.  Replace and make sure the refill comes out the bottom by testing the twist.  Gently press the top back on the barrel of the pen.  Good to go.

**Q: are all of this cap removal? or is there one you roll up or down?**
A: This specific model is with cap removal

**Q: Does Cross still make a ball point pen with a Silicone Grip on the barrel?**
A: I bought a rollerball pen, 6 months ago, so do not know the answer to your question.  I don't see anything on the barrel of my pen that might be a silicone grip, but it isn't a ballpoint.

I love this pen! Cross has always had great writing tools so I wasn’t sure that the translucent style would be different. It did not disappoint. The weight is good and it feels really nice in my hand. It’s a little different because it has a removable cap and not a click or twist option. I can live with that. I really like the look of this one.
