Doesn't function as advertised
On several different occasions, it did not copy all the files in the directory I was transferring to another computer. Also, it does not actually 'sync' two folders: if you have deleted files from your main folder, and tell it to sync with your back up folder, it will not delete the file if it already exists on the back up. It only replaces files with the latest version and adds new ones. So the back up folder gets bigger and bigger every time you sync, as deleted files stack up. There appears to be no tech support on line. I have had to go back to using an external drive.

I am unsatisfied with this product. I was unable to get the files and e-mail messages and address book to transfer from my windows vista to my new windows 7

Doesn't work with Windows 8
I bought a new Windows 8 computer on Black Friday and figured I better scoop up this cable to transfer my old files. But it only works with the file transfer program made specifically for Windows 7. I'm returning it.Buy one that is specifically made for Windows 8!

One of the easiest things to use! I transferred everything from my old computer to my new computer with 2 clicks. Works on all versions of Windows where others don't. I would highly recommend! Say goodbye to downloading and uploading with external storage.

Doesn't Work with OS 10.7/Lion
The Bridge software doesn't work with Mac OS 10.7/Lion, the specs should be updated detailing this. I can see the Mac drive on the PC so it's possible to copy files between the computers.

Worked Great for a long time and then !!!
I have had this product (Targus ACC96US) for a couple of years. The model number above, which Targus has on their site (ACC96US1), is actually black on top and grey and straight along the sides. The one Amazon shows above is actually the ACC9602US and is NOT a high transfer rate device. The product has worked flawlessly up until a couple of weeks ago when I was transferring user files back to a notebook computer I had reinstalled the Operating System on. The source computer is a 32 bit Windows 7 machine and the destination a 32 bit Windows Vista. I drug the files from the source to the destination (exactly as the manual says) and when I went into Windows Explorer on the destination computer, the folders were there, but the files were not! In addition, the files had vanished from the source computer!! I had performed the transfer the same way dozens of times with no problems. I have contacted Targus and so far they are clueless to understand what I could have done to cause such a phenomenon.This is just a warning to anyone evaluating the use of this sort of technology.
