Try rinsing from the inside out if possible, be sure the power is OFF at the breaker for safety. **Q: can this Nu-Calgon product be used as a cleaner for the a/c pan to rid it of the sludge....every few weeks?** A: There are tablets that you can place in your drain pan to keep it clear of algae, etc. A wet vac or a rag and hot water will also work and cost virtually nothing. The evap cleaner will push the sludge down the drain as it cleans the evaporator, but it just seems like a waste of money. **Q: Is the product effective for cleaning mini-split, ductless unit fan blades as well as coils?** A: It's their most versatile coil cleaner. Not the most powerful, but a good product to do a quick job. You can rinse with a bottle of spray water or let the condensation do it. The Nu-brite or Cal-clean you better hose them town thoroughly.
