Review: From a Wooden Kitchen Chair to All-Day Comfort - I purchased the Staples Dexley Ergonomic Mesh Chair after spending far too many hours sitting in a wooden kitchen chair while attending online classes and working on my computer. I'm 6'0" and spend 10+ hours a day studying, designing, and working on projects, so comfort is very important to me. The difference was noticeable immediately. The mesh back keeps me cool, the lumbar support has helped with my lower back discomfort, and the chair is comfortable enough for long study sessions. I also appreciate the adjustable height, armrests, and headrest. Assembly was straightforward, and the chair feels sturdy for the price. While it may not be a $1,000 office chair, I think it offers excellent value and has made a significant improvement to my workspace and overall comfort. If you're currently using a dining room or kitchen chair at your desk like I was, this chair is a huge upgrade. For me, it wasn't just buying a chair—it was investing in my health and productivity. It only lasted 3 months. **Q: Are the arms cushioned or are they hard plastic? If they are cushioned have you had issues with them cracking?** A: The arms are about a 1/2 inch cushioned. No, I have not experienced any cracking and they are a firm cushioning for the wider and heavier sets like my husband and myself. **Q: Is there a warranty for the chair? I bought it towards the end of last September and now the piston is falling through the wheel frame.** A: Yes, I did get a warranty for my chair. Further, all products have at least a 1 year warranty on them, no matter who sells them. I would contact Staples and work from there. **Q: Is there a way to remove the rebar support all together?** A: I don’t believe so ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly recommended! *by Y***A on June 17, 2026* I’ve been using this chair for several days now, and I’m genuinely impressed with the quality.
