"F02" error code - and it's STILL not an isolated occurrence... DO NOT BUY!
I've only had this installed for about 5 days and it the threw the infamous "F02" error code that I'm now painfully aware of. It filled my office with smoke and nearly got a visit from the fire department. This thing is dangerous! Do not buy this thing! Go to another brand that won't burn your house down in the middle of the night.

As soon as I plugged a few things in, Sparks, Smoke, and Error Code F02
Same issue as another reviewer. I figured they just got a bum unit because APC used to be a good brand. I guess not anymore...!In smaller doses, I've found that "burnt electronics" smell to be quite pleasant, but in this quantity, I'm pretty sure it's toxic. I feel glad that it didn't damage anything I connected to it and that it didn't actually start a fire.

Error F02 and Acrid Smell of Semiconductor.
The UPS worked well for about a week running a home router as a load. During the night, we woke up to the UPS’s alarm sounding and the acrid smell of burnt semiconductor with error code F02 in the display. Unplugged it, disconnected the batteries and sent it back. The spec’s are great, the price is great, however, no confidence in the design.

"F02" error code... sparks and smoke.
My first review from a Amazon user of 5+ years. The unit showed a code of "F02" and started sparking and smoking once I turned the vacuum on. This was after 3 weeks of use. Very scary if this would have happened without me being there.

"F02" - Burning Smell - Hazard Alert
I bought it on 04/29, put in service in May and it died today at 5AM (2 months). The long-beep alarm went off waking up the whole family and the burning smell spread out the whole house along with F02 code. I've been using many APC UPS from 1000-3000VA and never have any of such experience. It used to be a top brand but not any more, you should read more about F02 code rating from other reviewers. Think before you buy, It's a true story.

Tech Enthusiast Review Updated: 6/5/20
Its been about a week since I received my UPS. Its been great thus far.Ran the self check and a manual disconnect to run off the battery bank for 5 minutes under heavy load -- (450w Call of Duty on PC + router ect...)All is good thus far.Pro's:I really didn't expect the UI to have so much data on the LCD. There's current wattage (which I adore) and many more. The software is surprisingly good apart from the bad reviews I've read. Definitely not an MVP distribution which surprised me as most companies just put together some crap software so they can say it's included.Updates to follow, First Update: 6/5/20-Power went out for an extended period (3hr)UPS powered my router which allowed me to continue using the internet as if nothing had occurred.- There have been numerous power surges that my UPS has protected my expensive equipment from. This has allowed me to continue playing Warzone in which we won during one of these power surges.Without the UPS I would have been disconnected.More updates to follow

Excellent unit
In less than two weeks of ownership I experienced a power outage. I own a gaming computer with an expensive monitor along with prosumer grade networking equipment from Ubiquiti. The unit performed flawlessly.I lost power while gaming and was able to safely shut down my machine. The unit also continued to power my home internet for roughly 45 minutes before the power came back. The readout states it would have lasted over two hours but I didn’t get to test the limits. The unit I purchased is feature rich. I love the usb type c on the front to fast charge my phone at my desk without an AC adapter. I also love the various features on the readout display like power load amounts and how long your battery would last at current utilization. You can also turn off the display and noisemakers if you want. This was thoughtfully designed. If you own expensive electronics this is well worth the peace of mind.

Working Good So Far
I was a little assuaged by the reviews stating units throwing error codes and starting on fire... checked other sites and that seemed to be specific to Amazon, so not sure if there was a bad batch or something? Either way, skeptical, I kept my order and plugged the unit into an outlet by itself for a day to see how it operated; all was good. One thing I wasn't expecting is how HEAVY this thing is. I'm a pretty strong guy and can't lift it up with one hand.I now have my 27" 5k iMac, second monitor, 2 2-bay external HDD units, a 2bay bare drive unit, and a second monitor plugged into it. The load level is showing low with estimated 43 minutes of operating time, which is plenty and way more than I expected.I recently had a HDD unit fail likely due to a brown out, so wanted something with AVR and Pure Sine Wave for the iMac - this ticked all the boxes for a very reasonable price. One thing it's lacking is "smart" features with the Mac (software only compatible with windows) but I do believe there is a way to configure with the native Mac OS operating system, haven't figured that out yet.I'll give 5* and say so far it's been pretty great. If anything changes, will certainly update.

Works well
The LED interface is useful. I am using the UPS for my TV and associated gadgets: DVD player, cable box, sound bar. It has worked as expected through several outages. It arrived with a cracked case, but on inspection I concluded that it is superficial damage and so I decided to avoid the hassle of shipping it back.

repeated failures
The first one that I bought made a loud bang when first plugged in and then loudly beeped with error code F02. I could smell burning -- it never worked.I returned this one and received a replacement. This second one lasted five months before the same thing happened. It's anecdotal but 0 for 2 means I will not buy this brand again.
