keeps the black lip smudge away.
I bought these for my daughter. She plays flute and after concerts would come back afterwards with a black tarnish smudge on her lip. These work well to keep her from being asked what's on her lip repeatedly. She is happy with them. It fixed the situation for her.

Great for preventing slips on the lip plate, but other areas as well!
These patches are great if you have a perspiration problem. I teach students who have this problem and have found that it is not only effective for the lip plate, but you can trim it to fit the body of the flute where the fingers make contact to prevent slipping. I have even trimmed it to fit on the D# key as well as left thumb key for those students with really slippery fingers. The other great thing about this product is that it is translucent so it can camouflage better than other no-slip patches that are either white brown.

A must for middle school flute players!
My daughter plays flute in her middle school band. Her chin and underside of her lips were getting red and giving her pimples. I thought I would try these to see if helped. They definitely do help. Her skin cleared and no more contact with the metal on the flute.

Saved my chin
I was so glad to take up my childhood instrument again, only to find my skin allergies to nickel have gotten worse, my chin and lip were so uncomfortable. Happy I was to find these, which feel smooth to the touch and make it easier to grip the mouthpiece.I haven't had to remove or replace them but anticipate a bit of a solvent would easily remove any adhesive which remained, but we shall see.

These are helpful for players who may be allergic to the material from which a flute is made
I play wooden traversos made of cocobolo wood, and have developed an allergic sensitivity to the exotic wood, causing cold sores on the lower lip. Placing one of these around the lower end of the embouchure hole keeps the lip isolated from the wood of the flute, but is thin enough to not interfere with playing. If you are sensitive to wood and/or metal flutes, these will be very helpful for you to continue playing.

Not good for professional flutists
When using the product, my bottom lip was unable to move, as the skin got stuck on the patch. It started to hurt as I was trying to keep my lips flexible, which is a must to play flute good.I will throw these away, and will try to find a new solution. The product might be good for amateurs, but certainly not for professionals.

As advertised
I played a big solo flute solo for the first time in over a decade and my flute didn't slip one bit with one of these patches on it. The fact that they're clear is even better, they're virtually undetectable

Makes allergies and slipping go away!
I am so happy I found these. I have a nice student Gemeinhardt flute. I suffer from metal allergies even to silver. I break out painfully on my chin. I’m 51. It’s ugly!!! So I got desperate and searched and I found these. I am just thrilled!! And they have some grab so I’m not slipping. I highly recommend these. A beginner would benefit up to professionals.
