American ApparelMen's California Fleece Long Sleeve Pullover Hoodie

I finally found the perfect hoodie. This hoodie is so great. For starters I am 5’ 11” about 175-180 lbs. I usually wear size L slim fit but occasionally a M works depending on the cut. A size L in this hoodie was perfect.The material is very light weight. I was really surprised at how thin and light it felt but it is quite warm and very soft on the inside. I really appreciate the extra length of this hoodie. I hate it when you wash a hoodie and it shrinks and fits more like a trucker jacket. After washing this hoodie there was quite a bit of shedding from the inside so I crossed my fingers and put it in the dryer on low. Despite being 100% cotton it barely shrunk. I think it might have shrunk a smidge but with the extra length I don’t even notice. And it’s still incredibly soft on the inside.I just can’t say enough good things about this hoodie. I like it so much I purchased a second in the same black color.UPDATE: I still love this hoodie but even after a few washes it continues to shed on the inside and if you are active in it and start sweating that shedding will stick to your arms when you take it off. I have remedied this by wearing a thin moisture wicking long sleeve shirt underneath. So perhaps I will downgrade it to 4 stars.

I had another hoodie, that was the same (e.g., same product, same product number, same item, same everything), from ten years ago, made by American apparel, and this one is a complete quality upgrade. It’s a bit thicker, softer and way more comfortable. Must be due to American apparel being sold a few years back. The quality of the fabric is far more superior, not flimsy or thin whatsoever. In my honest opinion it can compete with champion.

The color of this is lovely in person. However when I washed it (in cold water and flat dried), the material shrank a bit. But otherwise the material is soft, the fit was very nice just be careful when you wash and dry it.

Great gift for the loyal American apparel cult member. Their quality has slid downhill since starting to wear them about 13 years ago. Fits Men’s Large on the snug size. But that’s the cut of this one. Weird you can only buy on Amazon now, instead of on their website. Overall not bad.

Cuffs have a large irritating seam that rubs uncomfortably against inside of wrists. Otherwise it's a good hoody.

Great, light weight hoodie. A little too thin for my preference, but the fit is perfect. I’m 6’ 165lbs and these have a perfect fit for a skinny guy with longer arms.

As others said-these run small, however, they are really long. They did shrink with a wash and dry to an acceptable length and no longer look like a dress. I hung one to dry as I want to tie-dye it, and it is still the larger, longer size it was before the wash. DEFINITELY need to size up one-two sizes if you want your usual, albeit LONG, fit. If you avoid the dryer, you'll have a more roomy fit, but it will remain too long.

I have had this sweatshirt in both small and medium for about 6 years. They've had the same amount of wear over the years and have held up really well! I've washed numerous times and the fabric doesn't pill and hasn't faded too bad. I bought another medium and it is the same quality. I'm excited. It is a bit thin, more like a "Southern" California Fleece but it's soft and layers well. This is my favorite hoodie of all time!

So soft and the basic plain style goes with everything. Bought a second one after I received it. I bought a medium. It is snug, but that is what I wanted.

These items are great for everyday wear, a really good fit & very comfortable. The price makes this a real bargain. The whole transaction was a pleasure & the parcel even arrived early. Highly recommended.

The quality is absolute garbage. The stitching on the pouch and collar ripped on the first day I wore it.
