I can’t speak to longevity as they only have a few weeks run time. I will update again as I continue to use them. My glass is thicker at 5/8"?** A: I have a 90 gallon corner, hard saying thickness half inch for sure. Magnets will not hold with the rubber divider piece. I have a magnet scrapper rated for 5/8 and that works great. I would say it would be maxing out the strength. Or I just got some weak magnets in my set up **Q: Can I use it with a 55 gallon tank ?** A: Sure! Instructions are written terribly. Probably used Google translate.
