Most comfortable pants I've ever owned
I bought a pair of these about ten years ago and liked them so much I completely quit wearing jeans! These are extremely comfortable, "almost" water-proof, and very lightweight. They also stretch and breathe far better than jeans and are way more durable than the cheap Columbia knock-offs you find at Walmart or Target. I have noticed they seem to be made in several different countries (never the USA). I've ordered this same exact model number and size for years and I check the label each time and they're either made in Vietnam or Pakistan. The only reason I replace them is because I am very active and I tear them up, not because of poor quality materials but because I am active in them, hiking, walking through thick brush with thorns, sliding down rocks and gravel hills on my butt, crawling on my knees through caves, getting them wet crossing streams, kayaking, skydiving, fishing, riding horses and ATV's, you name it, I put these pants through their paces! Plus, I am a big guy. I'm 6'5'' 250 lbs so I probably put more stress on them than you do. I say "you" because I'm bigger than 99% of the population so odds are, I'm bigger than you. If you're not my size, and you're not as physically active as I am, just imagine how long a pair of these would last you. Maybe you're a hundred pounds soaking wet and you're not very active at all... A pair of these pants could very well last the rest of your life!

Legs run a little long
I live in the tropics and have a job that requires me to wear long pants. After trying many different fabrics and manufacturers, I now only buy Columbia. The Viewmont, Rapid Rivers, and Royce Peak pants are my daily wear. They are very comfortable, lightweight enough for 110+ degree days, and they breath.I really only have two complaints: the legs seem to run a little long (but then at 5'10" and 240 lbs, I'm on the short-n-chubby side...) and the pocket liners are mesh, not solid. Why is mesh pocket liners a problem? When I put my keys in my pocket the ring always works itself around/through the mesh. Otherwise the mesh pockets would be fine.

Way too big
They seem like nice pants but I ordered the 42” waist and they are about 45 1/2”. In addition the pockets are see through mesh and the pockets flare open when you sit or squat completely revealing whatever is behind your pockets 😮

Great pants
I bought two pairs if these pants for my new job 8 months ago. They are still holding up, with no holes or any wear that I have noticed! After a couple months of washing, the water resistance did wear off. They also do hold a bit of wrinkles just out of the dryer but the wrinkles go away after you wear them for about an hour or so. They are very light, comfortable, and breathable. I highly recommend these pants!

Good pants for everyday and hiking

Must buy - go one size shorter for hiking
Great quality !!! I got 2 sizes, they are true to size however I suggest going one size shorter for hiking so they don’t touch the bottom of your shoeI’ll be keeping the shorter pair and returning the true to size pair as it’s better for hikingLove them!

Great for golf
It rained a lot but they kept me warm and dry in 53 degrees. Front pocket sizes are good and able to take a S20 Ultra. 5'7" and 34x28 was perfect. Got a second pair, just as good.

Button broke after wearing them less than a month.
These "were good" pants before the button broke after wearing them just a few times. @Columbia usually makes better products, maybe this one was a lemon. No wear and tear, no crazy stress on the pants, button pops loose and pants are done without it. Is it worth it to make a claim? I'll probably try to sew a button on instead.

Comfortable, durable and stretchy
I was concerned about the fit initially and bought a size 36... but returned them for a 34. They fit great. Very comfortable pants. They’ve held up great so far and they are very stretchy. I also like how water resistant they are... great while you’re fishing.

Love the pants, but beware of sizing
Love the pants, exactly what I was looking for. Something to take into account, though: I am normally size 34, and these pants are big. Should have ordered 32 instead.

Lightweight breathable and sturdy. Bit wide at the foot for my taste but that just makes them comfortable.
