Used it this summer on some serious rust on a jeep floor panel. I followed manf. instructions best as I could. Removed as much loose rust as possible.Thoroughly wet it down w/metal blast, waited, and rinsed with water while metal blast was still wet. I let it dry completely before coating with rust bullet. I could see the transformation of the rust layer after metal blast. Seemed to convert the rust to a solid base. I believe this uses phosphoric acid, so likely the reason for thorough rinsing. I would think the rust bullet may not adhere well if any residual acid is left behind. If left to dry, maybe respray a bit and rinse while still wet.Overall, seemed to work pretty good. I used this combo on many rusted areas on the jeep. In some spots aluminum body filler was used followed by paint. So far holding up ok. Will tell better after the salty upstate NY winter. The key is getting to ALL the rust. Good luck. **Q: how is the product used?** A: We put it in a spray bottle and we're using it to remove the rust from my old truck. **Q: Can I rinse this off with isopropyl alcohol or acetone rather than water?** A: No,don't know what will mix with this paint to dilute or clean tools. I try to clean my hands with: acetone,solvent,alcohol and no results. Some how some amount came of on my hands by hand cleaner mechanics used. Probably will come off in your hands in 2 weeks. On the car I clean with denatured alcohol before cumplit dry. For this reason I warned everyone to wear gloves. I know gloves they stick to brush handles and come off. For this reason my hands got this paint on and have to wait 2weeks to clean by self. From what I remember I used 2 different paints:1- Rust Bullet (gray color) 2-Sherlac Black (black color) for UV protection and oil protector. Know I'm spraying Fluid Film over and inside frame and stop rust. Never have a issues cleaning my hands from a paint before includes Por15. Seems to help with rust. I scrapped off as much rust as I could and applied this product and it did remove more of it. Smells like an acid, so it must also etch the metal for painting. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It works thats for sure! *by on Reviewed in the United States July 16, 2019* So I'm doing my garage with rust bullet concrete. I had some spots that probably could have been ok but figured I'd try this stuff out. I got the gallon because at time of purchase it was about $2 more then the spray bottle.... Ok?Anyway I sprayed down my garage had some rust spots (surface rust) and two small oil spots plus a majority of random other things. Concrete garage. I sprayed this on and let it sit for just over 20 minutes. It worked very very well on the already pretty clean spots but not so much on the harder spots. I rinsed it all off and then resprayed and let it sit for about a hour and scrubbed very lightly just to make sure it was getting into it. I then came back and rinsed for what seemed like 25-30 minutes however it is clean. I can easily see it cleaned the concrete very very well. Happy I ended getting this and hope it helps the rust bullet concrete adhere better.Also thankful I got the gallon since I didnt let it sit long enough the first time. I would wear a mask as when I first started it smelled pretty rough so I put on a mask and it was easy after that. Works great if you knock down most of the rust first(prep) as it’s not going to completely strip all the rust on its own.
