I'm 140lbs, have larger hips, butt and thighs and smaller waist. I wear an 8 in AE jeans. Like some reviews said, these are more fitted in the legs and loose in the waist. I tried the 8 on and they are very loose in the waist to the point where I would definitely have to wear a belt and fairly fitted in the thighs leading me to believe sizing down wouldn't work. I didn't even try the 10 on. If you have a slimmer figure/thighs then I would order your normal size for a comfy fit or size down for something more fitted. For those with figures like mine, you'll likely need a belt. I returned both. They look pretty nice otherwise. They are rather fitted through the thigh and butt... But the waist is big, even for my mommy gut! Still, the quality is good, the fabric is light and a little stretchy, and the price is great! I'll just wear a belt from now on, which I usually do anyway! ### ⭐⭐⭐ Fit is very strange *by K***. on Reviewed in the United States on February 16, 2020* I like the feel and weight of the fabric, and the construction seems as durable as my other Columbia pants, which seem to be really great. However, the fit of this style is so 'off' that I will not wear them. The waist is too big, sits too low, and the thighs are SKINNY. ???? I have several pair of Columbia pants (by the way, I am a 6-8 and always need an 8 in Columbia pants) and these are the worst-fitting pants I have tried to use so far. I absolutely LOVE all my other Columbia pants. Maybe QC just missed this pair. I don't know. This style might just be cut this way intentionally.
