Clymer Yamaha V-Star 650 (1998-2011)

I have used these types of manuals before and they have always been a great help. I personally think any person owning a vehicle should get one of these, even if you have a mechanical background. The pictures, diagrams, and easy to follow instructions make non-routine procedures seem familiar and less of a struggle to complete. The best part of buying from amazon was the price. I went to the motorcycle dealership to get this manual and they didn't have it in stock and would have had to order it (taking about the same amount of time as me ordering it online) and they wanted to literally charge me almost 4 times the amount. I won't even go into what kind of hassle it might have been to return it if something was wrong. Getting it from amazon was definitely the way to go.

Motorcycles are like a mystery. This book tells you what everything is, what it does and how it's wired. It explains how to fix everything and how it works as well, to a decent degree. Buy it.

totally lacks info on middle and final drive gear service and repair which was the main reason I wanted the manual. better to get the shop manual downloaded for free.

Just what was need.
