Folding the cash in thirds minimizes the thickness compared to folding it in half twice. I don't use cash often but I like to carry some just in case I need it. **Q: Why does it cost so much? I swear this thing cost no more than 50¢ to make** A: You're paying for the lightweight and compact "design" (referencing the 2 card slot version). There are other compact and light wallets on the market made out of paper thin material (Tyvek) that sell for nearly twice the price but are of lower quality than this wallet. **Q: Is it cowhide** A: The card sleeve is made with a thin elastic fabric. Once placing my cards in it, I found that it was hard to get a card out without having to slide all of the cards up in the wallet. The elastic, spandex like material isn't as stretchy as I was expecting. This is overpriced for what you're getting. I have to say that this is one of the times that I was disappointed from the positive reviews. For free then this is an okay wallet but for $12.99, it's not even worth it. Over the past few days I've been trying to justify if this is worth keeping to use later. Pros: Great idea in theory but needs work Small, lightweight Can't tell its on your pocket Cons: Overpriced--shouldn't be more than $5 Have to slide all cards out part of the way to get the card you want to use--needs to be an easier way Not compartmentalized like some of the other minimalist wallets Flimsy material, not as stretchy as it could be I've shown photos of this wallet/cardholder and another that I've purchased and the comparison of a minimalist wallet that has two compartments versus one compartment.
