Looking for a clear resin that is perfect for coating artwork, tables and making jewelry? Well you found the best! This resin is crystal clear. Contains UV absorbers and hals (hindered amine light stabilizers). What does this mean? This resin resists yellowing and will remain clear even under direct sunlight. This product cures to a high gloss shiny finish. Clearcast 7050 has a long work time with a rigid finish makes this resin ideal for all decorative applications. 45-60 minute work time with a 24 hour cure. This product is best suited for thin coatings. Avoid large pours with this resin. For castings, stay under 1/4".

Review: Best resin out there. - I, like a few other people, went from one brand to another looking for good resin. I watched a ton of tutorials, and never could get other brands to work the way I had wanted them to. One day, I came across a Myriam tutorial for jewelry. After watching several videos of her using the Clearcast 7050, and other YouTubers as well, I was sold and ordered my first kit. It was a smaller one. I used it all pretty fast, so I had to order more. I've ordered a handful of times now, and I love this resin. I never have issues with it curing and being flexible or bendy, like I've had others do. It is crystal clear. Hardly a bubble to be seen, and nothing a quick spritz of alcohol can't tackle. The resin plays nicely with colorants too. I've used mica, acrylic paint, and ink and haven't had any problems at all. Their customer service is top notch, too. Through zero fault of theirs, I had to inquire about a missing package. FedEx fumbled, not The Epoxy Resin Store. But, they were extremely prompt in dispatching a replacement. The process was fast, simple, and I felt very much like they cared about my experience as a customer. They've earned my loyalty tenfold. When I've had people ask about resin, I tell them about this specific one. The price point is a bit high, but you get what you pay for and Clearcast 7050 is high quality stuff!
Review: A bit runny - After using a few different brands I was expecting the product to move a bit slower when applied, like honey, but it was very liquidy. I make expoxy tumblers and had trouble with this dripping heavily off the sides and the coats were a bit thinner than I'd like. Overall the product is nice, just not perfect for my needs. One of the things I like is that it cures fast. Within 3-5 hours the epoxy is no longer sticky to the touch. Many other brands have been sticky for 12+ hours so I liked that about this epoxy brand.

I think both will work well for coating art.  Both have a shiny high gloss finish.  The 7050 has better NON yellowing long term.  Both are good products and have zero VOC's and are non toxic..

**Q: Is this food grade safe want to use it on tumblers and plates?**
A: The description states “Non Toxic, VOC Free, and Food Safe” I did not see anything that states this has BPC (the 7000 does).  I would say the 7050 is good to use on tumblers and plates.

Love this resin for jewelry! No bubbles & very clear. (Side note: Don't use it for making things like coasters or anything that needs to take some abuse. It is pretty brittle...I have used leftover resin for thinly poured decoration-type stuff that cracked while getting them out of mold...but this resin is FANTASTIC for jewelry!)
