I'm guessing that this DAC/ADC does not use the Realtek chipset, although given its price maybe it does but Creative Labs has addressed the issues (which I am told are with the drivers, not the hardware). ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐ Solid little DAC to upgrade onboard audio on PC. *by on Reviewed in the United Arab Emirates 18 September 2025* Worked great for my use case and much better than onboard Audio on my X670E Tomahawk. I am pairing it with Corsair HS50 Pro stereo headset and for that it works perfect. I did have to download APO + Peace GUI and tune it to my liking as the default sound has high treble and limited bass which was causing my ears to hurt.After tuning I can hear footsteps in games better, there is bass (as best as can be) and overall sound clarity is quite high. For such a cheap price I can't complain too much. Box was bent a bit but item was new and works fine.Update: the Treble harshness was too much for me and I am returning this. I got Play! 4 which is leagues better than this. If you are in the market for a dac just get Play! 4 instead of this. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ottima ed economica *by on Reviewed in Italy 3 April 2025* Avevo bisogno di uno splitter per separare gli ingressi di cuffia e microfono del mio notebook, recensioni e prezzi dei cavetti di separazione non mi hanno convinto e ho preferito acquistare una scheda audio esterna.Dopo averla provata con il driver installato da Windows 11, ho scaricato il driver proprietario e funziona benissimo.
