## Description

From the manufacturer TM1 Complete Recording Package with Large Diaphragm Condenser Microphone Package of TM1 microphone, shock mount with integrated pop shield, 20' (6 m) XLR cable and dust cover Premium large condenser microphone capsule with 1" gold plated diaphragm Internal shock mounting for microphone capsule Fixed cardioid polar pick-up pattern Ultra-low noise design Extremely quiet preamplifier design with transformer-less output stage +48 V phantom powering for wide dynamic range The large-diaphragm TM1 Condenser Microphone is designed to capture your sounds with incredible realism, sensitivity and accuracy. Featuring premium-grade electronic components and a pure gold-plated diaphragm capsule, the TM1 captures pristinely clear audio via its cardioid pickup pattern design and wide 132 dB dynamic range. This versatile microphone is well suited for a variety of applications ranging from recording studios to broadcast stations. Rounding out the package is a heavy duty shock mount with integrated pop shield, a dedicated dust cover, and a 20' (6 m) professional grade microphone cable. Why a Condenser Mic? Condenser microphones are the ideal choice for capturing vocals and acoustic instruments and are the primary type of microphone used in recording studios and radio stations. The TM1 mic is capable of capturing much more detail than most dynamic microphones because of its wider and flatter frequency response. Another difference between condenser and dynamic mics is they contain active circuitry that requires phantom power (+48 V) for operation. You can power your TM1 using any phantom power equipped mixing console. Large Gold Plated Diaphragm The TM1 condenser microphone is the affordable, premium-quality way to get what you really hear into your recorder or computer DAW. Thanks to the pressure gradient transducer and internally shock-mounted 1.0" gold-sputtered large diaphragm capsule, the TM1 mic delivers an open transparent sound with excellent transient response, and large frequency response from 20 Hz - 20 kHz. Its cardioid pickup pattern is superb for capturing the most subtle vocal or instrumental nuance, while rejecting undesirable off -axis sounds. Ultra Low Noise Clean and ultra-quiet operation is the hallmark of any great microphone, and the TM1 comes through with virtually noise-free transmission via its exceptional transducer and gold-plated XLR output. Add an onboard state-of-the-industry preamplifier with transformer-less output stage, and your sound source is delivered with unparalleled accuracy and transparency. Complete Recording Package The TM1 is designed to be your go-to studio microphone for years and years to come. An excellent choice for both live and studio applications, you get the professional-grade TM1, heavy duty shock mount with pop filter, and a 20' (6 m) microphone cable. Just add the talent and your mic stand – and you are ready to track.

Review: Brilliant value and great microphone. - Really good microphone and brilliant overall value. This is on the basis that I paid £53 for this microphone bundle and not at its RRP (now £79, usual price), and therefore I am basing the performance of the microphone and accessories of value of both prices. The microphone is of high quality in terms of the shell and bundled really well. I personally do not like silver casings for microphones because I find them more noticeable to see fingerprints on them. However, if you're using it in the case of using it on a microphone/boom arm stand, this shouldn't be an overall big issue as you would be mostly touching the shockmount or pop filter after installation, unless you plan to use it more as a portable microphone. The shockmount supplied seems to be nearly the exact same model as the Rode PSM1 which, at this point of writing the review it is sold at around the £30 margin, except that this version has an extra arm for you to attach your pop filter at ease. The shockmount alone is insanely good value if you compare the specifications between the PSM1 and Behringer's included shockmount. For those who may not know what shockmounts are, they are a holder for your microphone and help absorb as much vibrations as possible that come from the surface. So if you attached it to your desk and hit your desk, the shockmount would help reduce as much noise as possible from that hit. The pop filter is nicely branded and good quality as it is double layered and therefore is twice as effective as a single layered pop filter. For those who are unsure what pop filters are, they are to reduce plosives, which if you've noticed anyone say their "P"'s into their microphone, you can hear a sharp gust of wind applied to each pronunciation, making each word harsh sounding and not completely natural. A single layered pop filter will help a lot, but a double layered will be, as already mentioned, twice as effective. It's a very welcome addition to the bundle. The bundle also comes with an extremely long 6 metre XLR cable, which is EXTREMELY useful for those who do not have the budget to get the same length of cable on its own, and is extremely useful for those who either would like a backup cable or need a long one to use, and also comes with a small bag to put the microphone itself in for travel purposes. The bundle altogether came inside a box but unfortunately not a travel case, which is most likely a downside for people using this microphone for travel or portable purposes. The microphone itself is really high-performing for the price. There's not much to say about features, as it has none itself. However, if you look on the specifications on paper, this is a very neutral and natural sounding microphone that will help anyone in the interest of equalizing it for their own end result. Is it worth £53? Absolutely. Is it worth £79? Absolutely. Bearing in mind however, I did do these tests with a Scarlett Solo 2nd gen interface, which you would need to power this microphone as it is a condenser and requires 48v (phantom power) to use. I would recommend getting the Behringer UMC22 interface, as the microphone doesn't need anything remotely special or medium-end to use. Thanks for reading my review and hope it was of help to anyone.
Review: Lovely sound and no noise - For the price unbeatable. Acoustic guitar and vocals sound great.
