I’ll list the bad first and finish with the good. For those who just wand the bottom line scroll down to the conclusion. The bad: Instructions are terrible. Photo with diagram of numbered parts/features and the corresponding list are 9 pages apart. The step by step assembly photos and very limited text instructions likewise are several pages apart. The line spool is quite small and the line is very thin. When first trying it out the trimmer didn’t run smoothly. It kept stopping and going. I thought possibly related to the automatic line feeding. But wait. Now for the GOOD. You don’t need the instructions because there are multiple YouTube videos on how to assemble and it’s pretty easy. You will need a screwdriver. I bought extra line spools so I wouldn’t run out in the middle of trimming. The spools can be rewound with the brand of your choice as long as it’s the right size. YouTube this too if you’re unsure how. The intermittent running was due to the batteries being only slightly charged upon arrival. Each took a few hours to charge. Not found in the instructions but per YouTube flashing green = charging. Solid green light = fully charged. Flashing red = too hot or too cold. Solid red = bad battery replace or reset. When I tried the trimmer today it ran fine. While the line and spool are small in comparison to my previous weed eaters it held up fine. It tackled thick grass, weeds, and small tree seedlings with easy, I did go over the thick grass a few swipes. I use a tractor-style rider and had neglected to hard to maneuver areas. The line feed appears to work well and/or the line is quite durable even though then because every time I stopped to check it was as long as it should be. The shaft length and rotation for edging both are quick and easy to do. Adjusting the angle of the trimmer head is stiff but hopefully that will improve as it gets used. The assist handle on the shaft is also very quick and easy to adjust. The trimmer is not heavy at all. Conclusion: Instructions are bad but YouTube videos are easy to find and follow. Adjustments for individual use are easy. Light weight but does the job. Would buy again.
