The overall dims including handles and wheels of the 21" spinner are 23" x 14.5" x 9" and the overall dims for the Int'l spinner are 21.75" x 15.75" x 7.75". **Q: How does this bag do on rougher, uneven terrain, or on thin carpeting (sometimes found in airports)? thanks--** A: I took a trip to London/UK with the medium sized (25 in) and an older Travel Pro carry-on roll aboard. In addition to the usual airport/hotel stuff, we traveled the Tube, trains, busses, walked through streets, and both pieces of luggage held up well. I often used the larger suitcase to carry the smaller one, though that got tiring after a while. At one point, we walked nearly 2 miles including across cobble stones, cracked sidewalk, curbs, and the luggage did a great job. I prefer the spinner wheels to the roll aboard wheels for this type of travel and am thinking of adding an international carryon size with the spinner wheels. The only trouble I had was more about weight (which is what I deserve for overpacking!). Walking down steep subway steps holding a 40 lbs case in one hand and a 25 lbs case in the other is not something I'd recommend. **Q: United's limit is 22 x 14 x 9. Does it mean this one will not fit?** A: This bag has been sizer bin tested during development so we don't have any concerns about it not fitting.
