**Q: How bright is the light? it states it’s 40 lumens, but that’s not very bright. if it’s 40 watts, that = 430 lumens;  that’s pretty bright.**
A: In my opinion, there's sufficient lighting from this flashlight to enable you to exit a dark room or hallway during a power outage.  It's 7:30 pm in LA, my kitchen is dark like a closet, I turn on this flashlight and can see clearly all the eating utensils in my drawer.  Brightness is equivalent to 40 candles.
