Makurazaki bonito Maruchou bonito Hon Katsuobushi woman clause 1 box (five over 6)

This is my third order of this katsuobishi. I use it as a soup base, mixed with wakame as a side dish, on top of eggs, on tofu, cook with my goya champloo, fried rice, everything. This brand has the best umami/fish flavor with good smokiness. The flavor is amazing. I've tried many other brands that are more expensive and they may have more smokiness but the flavor and aroma are always lacking, missing umami. This is some of the best katsuobishi I've used and rivals the complete sensory experience with katsuobishi from Okinawa Japan, made by local producers, from when I was a child.Another thing I've found with this katsuobishi is that it tends to shave very well. I can get long shavings more easily than with other brands that tend to produce very small, brittle, shavings/granules.Amazing product at a phenomenal price. I agree with a prior review that this is one of the best deals you'll find in the US.Enjoy!!
