## Description

CalDigit Thunderbolt 4 / USB 4 Cable (2m) 40Gbps / Charging 100W / 5A / 20V

Review: Excellent for Data Transfer between MacBooks - Brought a new Apple M5 MacBook to replace my trusty 6 year old M1 MacBook. Needed a Thunderbolt Cable to transfer over a 100gb of photos and music etc. You can buy an Apple one for silly money but Apple also sell CalDigit ones on their Website so they must be up to the task. The Cable transferred everything from my old Mac to the new one flawlessly in about 30 to 40 minutes. It would have taken 5 to 7 hours to do it over WiFi. Excellent product at an affordable price.
Review: Perfect and affordable replacement for the Apple version - I needed a longer cable to connect my Mac Studio to the Studio Display and as this was on a discount I bought it. The Apple version is way too expensive, I don’t attach anything to the monitor and basically it does the job perfectly.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent for Data Transfer between MacBooks

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect and affordable replacement for the Apple version

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great cable - the people leaving poor reviews don't understand what this cable is for!
*by H***. on 23 April 2017*

This is a great cable. It is one of only a handful of cables to support full Thunderbolt 3 at 40Gbps, 100W of charging power, and long lengths of up to two metres. As listed in the description, this cable does *not* support USB 3, because it is an "active" cable - a necessity for Thunderbolt 3 cables longer than half a metre. The other reviewers seemed to expect USB 3 support. I've tested it with an LG UltraFine 5K display and it works perfectly. It can also be used as a charging cable. My only criticisms would be that the branding on the cable ends is ugly and unnecessary, and it would be nice for the Thunderbolt logo to be whiter rather than the yellowish off-white that it is; it looks quite cheap when plugged into a MacBook Pro next to the Thunderbolt 3 cable LG provides for its UltraFine 5K display - see pictures.
