If so this is a very big push button breaker.** A: I've just installed 20 new circuit breakers of this brand (10, 20 & 40 amp). My units were @ 1-1/4" x 1-3/4" x 9/16"Hope this helps **Q: the depth** A: The body of this circuit breaker is 9/16" thick x 1 3/8" wide x 1" deep. It mounts in a 3/8" hole & from the mounting surface to the end of the spade connections it is 1 7/8". Rated for ten AWG wire. If I strike the 10 gauge wire across battery terminals I am going to get a big flat blue spark. If I HOLD the two wires tight against the battery posts after a second or two the breaker will trip BUT THE WIRES DO NOT GET HOT. This would be true with a 5 amp breaker using 20 gauge wire or a hundred amp breaker using 6 gauge wire. BREAKERS PROTECT ELECTRICAL WIRING NOT AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE. Use a fast acting FUSE for electronics - the one recommended by the electronics manufacturer.
