A chilling account of a very chilling time in the Philippines!

a great novel
This is an amazing novel that spans Philippines history from the time of the Spanish to the Marcos era. It weaves together the stories of several families throughout this history and its various states of war. Without some knowledge of Philippines history, it may be a bit confusing. Otherwise, I have no idea why this book is not more respected and well-known. I definitely recommend it.
