It was perfect. It didn't feel heavy on my back when I climbed a rock wall, or when I hiked up. It seems like it'll hold up decently well too. It's comfortable on the shoulders but not very breathable on the back. The zipper quality is the one thing I'd say is lacking, they feel very cheap. As for the hydration bladder, I did not get a chance to use it. But it looks good quality. I'd recommend this backpack, as it is just an easy to use hiking backpack. We also have a camelbak that is pretty much the same as this but the storage in these is better for a fraction of the price.
