Review: A good investment. - These inexpensive XPS insulation boards were used to form an insulating barrier to an Easterly facing bedroom wall. They were easy to cut with a Stanley knife and I used some thick wallpaper for templates to get the wall angles right before cutting the boards. This kept any wastage to a minimum. That was 18 months ago and I still haven't put anything on top of the boards but don't mind the Matt black look! And yes, the wall reflects heat as expected very well. I applied using coving adhesive directly onto my walls they have made a HUGE difference... what was once a cold and sim room is now the warmest room in the house... we don’t even need the heating on in December. I want to wrap all my walls now....And say goodbye to my huge heating bills. **Q: Can they used for keeping interor wall cooler in summer,ie reduce thermal radition from outer wall warming up interior say bedroom.?** A: They are insulation boards. They are blue. They are easily dented if not protected from knocks. **Q: My house and floor are freezing in the winter, would these boards under my laminate help much with this issue** A: We laid in a staggered formation on floorboards in hallway and then placed laminate on top. We also added skirting boards after, which kept everything in place. However butting up to existing floorboards should work. Very good value. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ideal for my purpose *by W***Y on 20 October 2020* I bought these XPS boards to insulate a Garador 3C up and over garage door. The gap between the door skin and the cross bracing was exactly 10mm so these boards were a good interference fit. With a new Stanley Knife blade, they cut easily and I found that a score line was enough, as they would the reliably break along the score. It's made an immediate 3⁰C difference in the temperature of the garage, which will improve further once I've fitted the top and bottom draught excluder.
