Not sure if concrete foundation is "water permeable" enough.** A: It can be used in this situation as long as the concrete foundation is pitched enough to drain water away from the stones after it rains. We had figured that one box would cover our entire patio - per the description - but it ended up not stretching very far. Three boxes in, and we had spent way more on the project than we had figured. It's a wet sand texture and needs lots of smoothing. It never gets hard, so we imagined our weeds coming back up through the cracks.
