I ordered two of them and they came in the same plastic bag, with nothing to cushion the blows they apparently received. One of them was missing a black plastic clip that fits over a steel plate at the back of the clamp, the purpose of which is to keep the steel plate from sliding out of position, thereby preventing the tension spring from popping out of the back. The black clip was in the bag, but the four prongs that were intended to hold it to the frame of the clamp were all snapped off. It must have taken one hell of a lot of force to do this. This design flaw alone is enough to make the clamp useless. The usefulness of the entire clamp depends on the integrity of this little piece of crappy plastic. I do not know how it could have been damaged since it is surrounded by steel. I tried to remove the clip from the other clamp but could not.
