This random orbit sander has been designed for sanding wood, metal, plastics and painted surfaces. **Q: Can I charge the battery using supplied kit charger using Australian power point?** A: DeWalt batteries can be charged on any charger that works in your country. I charge my DeWalt batteries in NZ on a charger I bought in NZ. I threw away the US charging units that come with the DeWalt tools I purchased at USA Amazon. But make sure that Amazon will ship the battery.
