The colour is as shown in the pictures I have attached- it's a slightly darker shade of sea green. Looks really nice. The cord is on the soft side. It's sturdy enough but not exactly twisted. Like the description says, it's single strand cotton. If you're just starting out and don't have much preference with regards to the cord type, it's more than great.
