The Andover Audio SpinSub Subwoofer is a high-performance audio solution designed for home theaters and entertainment systems. Featuring a Class D amplifier and a matched pair of 6.5-inch drive units, it delivers powerful bass performance with a frequency response of 32Hz to 180Hz. Its adjustable frequency and level controls allow for personalized sound, while its sleek, fabric-covered design ensures it fits seamlessly into any space.

## Description

SpinSub: a 100-watt subwoofer designed to pair with the award-winning SpinBase Turntable Speaker System. SpinSub connects to SpinBase via its subwoofer output, and extends its low-end bass range – making the pairing a compact, full-range listening solution. SpinSub also pairs seamlessly with traditional audio systems (e.g. bookshelf speakers) equipped with a compatible sub output. SpinSub is designed around Andover’s patent pending IsoGroove technology, which reduces unnecessary vibrations to eliminate acoustic feedback. This enables SpinSub to be placed near a turntable, or even directly on a SpinStand (where it fits perfectly), without issue. SpinSub features a pair of 6.5-inch, long-excursion woofers whose cones push more air and are more efficient than a traditional 8-inch woofer. These woofers deliver extended bass response with precise control and impact, down to 32Hz. SpinSub also incorporates adjustable frequency and level controls to compensate for room acoustics and placement, or to match to other audio systems. SpinSub is wrapped with premium black or white fabric, designed to complement other Spin System products, including SpinBase, SpinStand, and more.

Review: Perfect Match For Andover Spinbase System - This is a beautifully built and excellent sounding subwoofer for music. It is the perfect match for the Andover Spinbase Speaker System. But that being said this subwoofer will be great for any receiver with a subwoofer output. It utilizes a 3.5 millimeter connection which matches the sub out on the Spinbase. If you have a receiver with a non 3.5 jack the proper connection is easily available on desertcart or other stores. Spinsub does provide different cables. I am using mine solely for music although you could use it in a home theatre set up. It produces wonderful deep bass with its dual side firing 6.5 inch woofers. It is wrapped in beautiful fabric on 3 sides. It is a quality looking product. It has auto signal processing so it shuts down when it detects no signal and turns on when it detects a signal. It has volume and low pass controls. Overall a super nice subwoofer. One note of caution, to use this subwoofer with the Andover Spinbase System you must purchase the 2nd generation Spinbase. The 1st generation Spinbase does not have a subwoofer output. UPDATE: After a year of use this subwoofer has developed an annoying hum when turned on. I have tried everything to get rid of the hum. I've changed the cable, bought devices to remove ground loop hum, etc. to no avail. The sub plays perfectly and produces nice bass but that hum drives me nuts. You can hear it during soft passages and when no music is playing.

This is a beautifully built and excellent sounding subwoofer for music. It is the perfect match for the Andover Spinbase Speaker System. But that being said this subwoofer will be great for any receiver with a subwoofer output. It utilizes a 3.5 millimeter connection which matches the sub out on the Spinbase.
