Sealed outer plastic with a hair cap inside box.I have thick curly BSL hair . I followed directions for Overnight leave in. I used 1/2 the jar. I know $$$. My hair has gotten horribly dry and porous( it’s not usually so bad) I was desperate so this deep treat happened. I do see a difference in my hair . More alive - better elasticity better shine. Less dry and limp looking. This is definitely a great reviver. I will use it again next week a finish the jar. I have other stuff to use but I can see coming back in a few months to recharge my hair.
