i don't think you'll regret it.
so far, i love this pot. it's heavy and seems to be constructed well. i made a (successful) christmas meal in it. clean up was easy; hot soapy water with a non-abrasive sponge. i was worried the matte finish would stain, i was wrong. it really is very beautiful too. i cooked in it and served from in on the dinner table.it is quite large. you could probably fit a small turkey in it with fixings. i didn't expect it to be this large but that's my bad for not really knowing how big 6qts is.i researched other brands as well, on amazon and google. from super-crazy pricey to more 'economically' priced.after reading reviews and considering cost, i found this was more middle road on price but with a higher standard of quality and customer satisfaction.i'm positive i made the right decision with my purchase.

Stunning design, beautifully made, incredible value!
Absolutely gorgeous!!! I've been longing for a quality Dutch oven for years, but didn't like the bright colors offered by the French company and most of its knockoffs. When my husband showed me this, I was a little skeptical at first...had never seen the brand anywhere, and the price was very moderate...didn't know if it was up to snuff. Did some online research and read reviews, and boy, did that change my mind! The piece is beautiful...a simple design with exceptionally nice finish and elegant lid handle. I could tell at first touch that this will be a family heirloom! Being from Michigan, I love that it's a Michigan based company....we take a lot of pride of that in our great state. It's early August, and we are blessed with a cool Saturday...perfect for making my long cooking roasted chicken soup! I love this piece, and feel like my cookware and kitchen is now complete...except now I really want one of their cast iron skillets for Christmas!

A Thing of Beauty
My Marquette Castings dutch oven just arrived today. It is in perfect condition-- no scratches, bubbling, or flaws in the enamel any way as some have stated. It is so utterly beautiful and I'm thrilled to have it sitting on my stove top all day. We are a five person family, and I know that this is pretty large for just us. However, I frequently host our families for bigger meals and love doubling soup recipes to freeze for later.**update- had it for six months. It's still like new even though I use it all the time.I will be sure to update my review as I use it, but for now I'm obsessed. I also feel confident knowing that this company stands behind their product and will fix any errors that may come up in the future.

Well made and pretty looking
I love this pot! It’s so pretty and looks great set on my stove, but it also works great. I have made soups and roasted whole chickens in it and they turn out tender and juicy. Best way to roast a chicken.

Pinholes in the enamel
This is going back. It’s beautiful, except for the pinholes in the enamel on both the inside and outside of the pot. Based on the mix of five and one star reviews, I would guess this is a quality control problem.

Beautiful, functional, not Le Creuset & that's okay:
I purchased both the 4-qt and 6-qt Dutch Oven in Matte White. They came beautifully and carefully boxed (giftable for sure!), and I was impressed and pleased when they arrived. The 4-qt version arrived with no visible flaws or pits in the interior or exterior finish - including the lid. It's essentially perfect. The 6-qt, however, had several small pits in the interior finish (they don't seem to affect use, but I'm worried they may create flaking or chipping problems w/ age). The lid was nearly perfect. The exterior finish, however, had a blobby-dimensional flaw about 3/4" in diameter, and a baked-in mark that looks like a faded 1" long swipe from a red felt tip pen. These are cosmetic and I really wanted to use my Dutch oven straight away. Not a deal breaker. It was just a slight disappointment since these are gorgeous enough to use & serve at the table. The company seems to have great reviews regarding customer satisfaction and replacement of defective items, and I am confident they would have done so for me if I had reached out. Instead, I made a killer beef bouguinon in my 6-qt and enjoyed using it. The Marquette Castings 6-qt performed FLAWLESSLY. Marquette Casting's even-heat and crazy-easy clean-up compared favorably to the Le Creuset French ovens & skillets I lost in the breakup. These don't have the freakishly intense French-company perfection in finish, but they weren't a cool grand for the pair either.I am so smitten with the matte white exterior finish. It has the look of raw ceramic, but repels stains unlike raw ceramic. These make food look appetizing and I love using them. Save some dollars and put 'em towards that fancy vanilla or really amazing spices. Then use them in these Marquette Castings pieces. Eat well. Enjoy your kitchen.I would absolutely buy these again and think they are a great, affordable, functional, very beautiful alternative to Le Creuset.Note to manufacturer: Please, pretty please add a deep, 9" diameter Dutch Oven so I can safely make artisan breads, beignets and things that splatter. (In matte white, too!)

Imperfections
Seems like a ‘second’ product. I expected better. Just looks but still.

I'll be customer for life....
Took a chance on a newer brand, on an item that I use a LOT.. Dutch Oven. Needed a larger one than my Le Cre@#*$# brand.... Great items over there in France, but not cheap. Took a chance on Marquette. Received my item and was pretty impressed. Broke it out to use for the first time this week and didn't I chip the enamel right at the very top?? grrrrr... Now I'm unsure how this happened, but I simply could not stand looking at it..I called customer service.... Left a voicemail and figured ohhh yeah I'll NEVER hear back. Well wasn't I WRONG. A fine young lady called me back, took all my info and thanks to the lifetime warranty I will be receiving a new one. She was very apologetic and professional. That is HOW customer service should be. So guess what I'm going to do next?? Well I'm shopping for a new carbon steel pan at the moment, and guess who is getting my business.. You guessed it. Marquette. Carbon Steel Skillet next.Great experience.... super skookum product. Happy I tried Marquette.
