They reduce the mess of paint and are easy to use. The colors are excellent and bright, with a pretty good coverage that many tempura paints lack. It dries fairly quickly as well, which can generally be a good thing based on the project, but it means blending or smudging it doesn't work as well so plan accordingly.They also don't have that awful smell that several brands seem to have, so if you are sensitive to the scent of tempura, these are much more pleasant to use.
