The operation is smooth, cuts the plastic air pipes straight, alot better than the large plastic Snap-On pipe cutting tool, I was worried the quality wasn't going to be there with this product, I am very pleased with it and how it works,

If you have small hands the jaws open too wide to grip them properly, also if you have arthritis in your hand you cannot close the jaws on the pipe.

Had them for a week and they were superb at first. Unfortunately for some reason the ratchet struggles now on the 1st and 3rd tooth, so now I have to twist the cutters for them to cut.

I was looking for something better than a hacksaw for cutting 20mm PVC electrical conduit. Not too expensive, but better quality than the obvious DIY stuff. I ended up buying these. Hmmm...They're good looking, lightweight but sturdy enough in the hand and yes, they do cut. But that's it. The problem is that the conduit/pipe/hose/whatever is not gripped firmly at right angles and it's almost impossible to make a straight cut. The photo shows examples - and the one on the right also shows that thin-walled material is deformed. But hey - it's a lot quicker and cleaner than a hacksaw.I'll keep them for now (because I do need them) but I really should send them back. Despite the word 'trade' in the name, these are certainly not trade quality. They are of course Chinese made.No, I can't recommend them and I certainly wouldn't buy them again :(

Cuts well but a little difficult to get a true perpendicular cut.

Good tool - built like professional cutters except cast aluminum body rather than cast or forged steel, but works very well - sturdy, stable, and blade does not veer sideways under load like cheaper ones. The V-shaped cutting edge is especially nice, because the tip of the V cuts into the pipe first and keeps it from rolling and the tool ratchets into the cut, as happens with straight-edge knife type cutters. This eliminates the problem of the cut spiraling or chipping out at the end of the cut like cheaper built cutters.I used up to 1-1/2" PVC - very easy cutting to 1/2 PVC", still one-hand to 1", two hand for larger but still cuts cleanly and well in one pass.The way it pops fully open when you start to open the handles is nice - you don't have to pry the handles apart to get full throat opening as with many brands.

I was today years old when I found out I didn't have to cut PVC pipe with a saw. This tool makes sharp, clean cuts. It's lightweight and easy to handle. It was a great value for the money. Building sets and balloon stands will be much easier from now on.

Immer wieder musste ich mich ärgern über unsaubere Schnitte beim Zuschneiden von Kunststoffrohren. Aber das hat nun ein Ende. Ich bin weder Klempner noch Elektriker, der diese Art von Rohrschneider jeden Tag benötigt, aber nun kann ich mit dem Rohrschneider von PSW-Trade-Suppliers LTD saubere Schnitte hin bekommen.Ein erster Versuch wurde mit einem Kunststoffrohr in der Stärke von 20mm durchgeführt, damit ich die Handhabung mit dem Schneider mal gemacht habe. Es klappt so gut, dass ich mutig wurde und ein HT-Rohr DN40 zur Hand nahm. Siehe da, ein sauberer Schnitt, bei dem die Kanten nur noch etwas gebrochen werden mussten.Die gummierten Griffe geben einen rutschfesten und sicheren Halt beim Schneiden und der vorhandene Verriegelungshebel schützt vor ungewollter Benutzung.Der Rohrschneider ist aus Aluminiumguss gefertigt und dabei sauber und hochwertig verarbeitet. Die Klinge ist aus hochwertigem Edelstahl und so stark, dass sie auch mit hoher Scherkraft belastet werden kann – habe ich am HT-Rohr gesehen.Fazit:Viele Arten von Kunststoffrohren können mit einem sauberen Schnitt bearbeitet, sprich gekürzt werden. Warum habe ich darauf nicht schon früher gesetzt? Die Auswahl sowie die Verarbeitung der Materialien zeigt die sehr gute Qualität dieses Rohrschneiders von PSW-Trade-Suppliers LTD, welcher Kunststoffrohre von 1mm bis 42mm sauber verarbeitet. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis bewegt sich im normalen Rahmen und so bekommt er von mir eine Kaufempfehlung und 5 Sterne.

Seems like it takes a two hand hold to make the cut. Could just be me?
