ProForm Smart Strider Elliptical Trainer

My wife saw this elliptical and wanted it for her birthday. I researched and was concerned it might be too low quality, but the reviews and the fact it was "easy" to assemble, I went with it. What a mistake. It is not a week old and it is loud, squeaking constantly to where even trying to watch TV is hard. I was going to spend more and pay for assembly, which if you are trying to decide... do it, this is a low quality product and now I am not even sure how to address.

I am afraid I did not order the correct Proform Elliptical. I want the spacer saver. Now I looked back my order #'s & poof wrong one. My friend is so excited for it arrival. I am sweating 18wheeler piece of dump on the lawn. I truely do not like being decieved. Why do these fitness equipement builder feel for the owner. You would believe they gave they're to give consumers the best quality & make fewer that have beyond good standards. That is what I am expected to do at my profession. I do not do my job half brained died. I am really sadden to know & must be accountable for my poor ordering. I know that deceptation is always possible. Deception is betrayal. If this is the model that my home. I will be tears. I spent hours & hours & hours of research and at my witts end. Ordered this one. When I spend this amount money it is big deal for me. Perhaps for all those who do all the research could warn the minimal wage earnings. Like I read in one of many researches, you get what you get below a 1000 dollars. With this type of betrayal making knock off's. I rather have gone to 10.00 dollar Gym & gave them a trail. Well I be back to update. Nothing more I can do. I company who I bought it from is even more difficult to deal with on returned Items. Suck it up & pulling my big girl panties. Best I admitt my wrong before I give it away.

The wheels are on the rear so you have to lift from the front. 175 pounds of dead weight off the floor. IMPOSSIBLE for me! It does not have a fan which my old one did. Otherwise, I like it very much.

i dont want to make this review 2 long bc i want people to actually read it before they buy this machine... this machine is freakin huge its like having the actual gym sized model in your house... i read reviews about the small machines and the stride being short on the machine this thing packs a punch for a work out... its been wrongly reviewed by somebody they must have bought it used or didn't have help to put it together bc you need 2 people to put it together, theirs no way i would have been able to put it together by myself... you have to be strong to tighten this thing down and about the squick somebody else was talking about it comes with grease to loob it up while putting it together... the only reason i didnt give it five stars is because how hard it is to put together other than that its what you want if your trying to go pro on a rookie budgit

very good Elliptical for the price compared to others on the market that I tried at different sports stores. I really like this one because it so easy on the joints that after you finish your joints knees and body dont aches or feel the affects of this. Its very quiet and know one in the house want know you working out until they see you on it because the definitely wnat hear you.

Elliptical purchased two months ago. It started making a squeaking noise after one month. I've tried to call the Proform Customer Service line twice and remain on hold. I finally gave up both times after being on hold for 20 minutes.

I was excited to own a ProForm machine and once it arrived I was pleased with the size. After setting it up I discovered parts were missing and there was no manual to explain the 18 Progressive Training Resistance Levels. I contacted ProForm customer service who then sent me the parts and explained there is no documentation to explain the 18 resistance levels which is touted as a "Top Feature" on their website. Approximately two weeks later, the machine began squeaking and I noticed screws were missing from the back housing plus the screws that were there just spun as if stripped. I also noticed that the heart rate monitor would not provide a consistent/ accurate number. Call #2 to customer service resulted in more parts being sent as well as being informed that the machines "EKG™ GRIP PULSE," also mentioned on their website, is expected to be up to 10 beats off. The rep also reconfirmed that there is no documentation online or in print to explain the 18 resistance levels. I feel this machine falls below acceptable standards especially for the price.

The machine works awesome and is very quiet! Super easy to assemble (just screw in some parts) but it's huge! I got it because it's a "space saver" but once it's collapsed, it's pretty heavy for a female to lift up. I saw a video and it's a man that lifts it up. And also the display is pretty plain and no light. That's why I gave it 3 stars. Gonna return it. Too big for my small space...74in in length.
